About this listen

Good Heavens! There are ghosts at Castle Omnis—ghosts with a mission.

How will the three eldest Bennet sisters react when they arrive there for an exclusive matchmaking house party? Lizzy, the more practical sibling, wonders if she should convince her sisters to return to Longbourn. Ghosts? Are they to be endured? Mary thinks so. Jane is not sure. Lizzy finds their interference maddening.

Darcy certainly does not wish Lizzy to convince the sisters to leave. He finds her fascinating—more fascinating than any other lady of his acquaintance. He realizes he made a huge misstep at the Meryton Assembly—he must make up lost ground. Castle Omnis seems to be the perfect place to show her that he is not the cad he at first appeared.

A delightful, amusing romp through the matchmaking challenges of a haunted country house party, where well-meaning specters seek the happiness of their charges.

This is clearly a story that is better with the fantastic narration of Benjamin Fife! His voices of each character especially the ghosts truly brought this book to a level I will gladly listen to again. I dont think I would have enjoyed it as much just reading it but the narration is what made it for me. There were a few things that I would have liked to see expanded or give something more. Overall it was a very enjoyable & laughed quite a few times that I will put this on my re-listen list.

A laughing fun time with matchmaking ghosts

This was a nice no angst variation. HEA for many couples. I enjoyed the ghost’s commentary. More time is spent getting to know Mary and Caroline. I did get a little bored during the scavenger hunt and with all the internal dialogue and uncertainty of all the couples. But that could be me more than the book. I usually prefer shorter audiobooks. I do like this author and would be first in line if Charming Mr. Darcy or Searching for Mr. Darcy is ever recorded.
I never hesitate to get any audiobook that Benjamin Fife narrates. Especially the ones with a little humor.

I can’t decide if I liked it or not. Strange. All these turns and back and forth. It was very confusing in the beginning who was who. Ghost or living. Strange story as well. Not my cup of tea really. Not so good Jaff.

Good or not

It took me a moment to warm up to the story. I think I would have liked it better if it was much shorter. The idea of ghosts was a fun and clever twist. Harry Frost is always a 5!

I can’t decide.
