Book 1: Of Children and Dragons

Book 2: Of Wizards and Dragons

Book 3: Of Dragons and Kings

Long ago Dragons ruled the land, but that time is long forgotten by most. What could the missing children of Dirae possibly have to do with the fearsome beasts of old? Clues point to a resurgence of the old Dragon-worshipping cult. Could the Dragon King have returned? And, if so, who can stop him?

This was my first experience with Mark Hansen's work, and I enjoyed it. There was a lot going on. The worldbuilding was extensive. There were many characters to keep track of and because of this, the story was choppy, jumping from one character to the next. Once I started to become more familiar with the characters, I found the story to be entertaining. There was a quest, magic, and dragons, all the necessary elements of a good fantasy. Andrew McDermott's narration was irregular. I enjoyed all the various voices that he provided for the different characters, but at times the narrative part had a lack of inflection. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

The dragons are returning and who will stop them? This almost 40 hour epic fantasy was well worth the credit.

A Tale of Heroes (Omnibus Edition) by Mark Hansen and Narrated by: Andrew McDermott was a great book and an even better audiobook. I quite enjoyed the fact that this audiobook contained the whole series in one. I really liked DeFrantis and Thissraelle. While I enjoyed all three books, book one was my favorite I just really enjoyed listening to the narrator bring DeFrantis to life for me.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.

These books really draw you in. The characters are fascinating and their adventures are suspenseful and moving at the same time. This fantasy fiction was very worth the listen! I may listen again.

When I listen to Fantasy I like it to be epic in scale, plent of fights, no sex, diverse characters and a plot worth listening to. Mark Hansen fullfill's that and writes a full cast of characters but isn't afraid to sacrifice the few for the needs of the many. I started this book hating Karendelle due to her choices but by the end my opinion had changed. You find yourself rooting for certain characters and wanting others to get killed off.

I've listened to Andrew McDermott before and enjoy the Irish narration.

I strongly recommend you to choose which character you like most and follow them through their journey.

A Great book for Teens and twenty somethings that like battles, epic fantasy but no sex.

I enjoy a good boxset. To me if you are into Narnia then this is up you alley in terms of content and character diversity.

Just WOW!

The set of three books ended much too quickly! The heroes and heroines are lovable and brave, yet some, like Eddiwarth, show how you can learn to be brave. The story is beautifully written and narrated, and I hated each time I had to hit pause. If you love stories of magical lands and losing yourself in people and places, you will love these books!

Heroes to love!
