Ayrion has been training to fight since he was old enough to walk. As far back as he can remember he's always had one dream - to be the youngest warrior of his clan. Unfortunately, Ayrion learns the hard way that being the best isn't always a good thing.

After a tragic accident rips away his dreams and leaves him without a home, Ayrion heads south to the capital city of Aramoor in hopes of starting a new life. That journey will test him in ways he had never expected, forcing him to use every ounce of his training just to stay alive.

Battling highway bandits, river pirates, and even Cylmaran slavers, Ayrion finally reaches the walls of Aramoor to realize that his troubles have only just begun.

Mugged, robbed, and left for dead, Ayrion finds himself at the mercy of the city's streets.

Can he learn to navigate Aramoor's treacherous underbelly before it reaches up and swallows him whole?

Find out in the gripping first pair of tales, Banished and Hurricane, in the Street Rats of Aramoor saga.

You can find maps to follow along with at the Aramoor Market on the author's website.

Waiting for the rest of the Story

Greatly enjoyed. It has been a while since I found a book that I could not wait to get back to. I started walking further in the afternoons just so I could listen longer. I wish it came as a complete set. However, at least it ended at a break point where you could leave without wandering what happened.

It is much more enjoyable than the white tower series. This series have a great potential for movie adaptation.

A bit slow...

The book is a bit slow. The author is super descriptive which is what really slows it down but can be good at times. When the action parts do come they are worth it. I love Tim Gerard Reynolds as a narrarator so that really helped. Overall it is a good story if you can get past the slowness.

Two great books for the price of one!

This book is a prequel to the White Tower and once again performed by the great Time Gerard Reynolds. It's a great story with a lot of action and suspense. You will not get disappointed by this great fantasy piece. I just wish like all other great books that they come out a whole lot faster. At least the sequel to the White Tower is coming out in a week or so!

I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad I got it!

I did enjoy this book, and really liked the main character. Interesting changes of pace and unexpected turns. Very worth the listen and looking forward to see where it continues.

Made me love fantasy all over again!

This is a perfect example of what made me love Epic Fantasy! Michael Wisehart, is one of my very favorite authors. And Tim Gerard Reynolds, could make the phone book sound incredible! It is a little bit juvenile. But, kept me enthralled and made me care about the characters. I also feel like there is room to lose some of the juvenile aspects of the story as the characters grow from situations, and age.
Definitely, worth a credit!!

wonderment

Every person in Aldore lives in perpetual wonder as to what everyone else "thinks" they're doing. 10/10
