About this listen

What happens in the wake of Failure Mode?

The Aftermath of a stunning victory—especially an unexpected, complete, and final victory—should be high-fives all around, listening to politicians give boring congratulatory speeches, and a well-deserved rest for the Merry Band of Pirates. Yes, the galaxy is still a freakin' mess, but that is nothing new, and for a change, that can be someone else's problem.

Until, you know, something really bad happens, and only the Pirates can deal with the problem... Or not.

I haven’t finished the book yet, i have a little anxiety that it’s all going to end. Please for the love of God, find a way to keep this series going. With R.C. Bray at the wheel and your genius, and the blessings of Skippy I know it’s possible.

Simply the best ever

I know many people in the review section mention that there's a repetitiveness on dialogue on how problems are solved (specifically with Skippy and Joe). However, I don't have a problem with that because that's most likely what would happen in real life since people continue living and acting the same way most of the time. If they acted different every time, they wouldn't seem real (at least Joe wouldn't).

The thing I do appreciate is that their circumstances are always different and the way they have to solve it is different in every book. The fact that there are way more numerous worlds, ships, and characters than the series started with gives a lot of extra interesting content that makes the world more believable. This book especially at the end wraps up a lot of plot holes in a fun and interesting way that haven't been too common in this series.

Also, Bilby was extra funny in this one and I'm glad he got more time than he usually does. Same goes to Grumpy too!

Craig definitely set the stage for an epic book 17! I can't wait for it to come out as I have a feeling it may be one of the most action packed ones yet.

Awesome adventure and set up for book 17!

Why not make a new series in the future where the children of our hero have taken up the mantle and give skippy a new life and purpose?

New enemy. New beginnings. A bit of a mystery. Had me guessing until the end.

I missed you, Skippy. This was a much needed continuation of the story. I thought that the ending of the last book left too much open. I'm elated that we get to go on another ride with the crew.

Oh thank god.

Somehow the author has managed to keep this series going, it hasn't become stale and I'm looking forward to the next one!
