If you can't manage your anger, this book is for you!

I bought this audiobook not because I was always angry, but because it often happened that after a stressful day at work, tired and fatigued, I would become irritable with my partner. Clearly she was not to blame, and it was all my fault that I got angry with her.

This audiobook was very helpful in that it made me realize how the cause of the anger was (clearly) not my partner but instead the job that was stressing me out too much. It was very helpful for me to learn different relaxation techniques and how to leave the stress of work behind once I walked through the front door. I was in fact bringing the accumulated stress at work, home and this was ruining my relationship!
An audiobook where in a few hours you will learn techniques and methods that can make a difference in your relationship! You only live once, let's try not to be angry!

Anger shouldn't control you!

I always face difficulty in controlling anger but this reading made me feel relaxed. I found it so relatable to my personality because I have learned ways to manage anger.

The author has well-defined the techniques of anger management in adults because it is important for adults to be a strong identity and act as mature people.

The narrator used a very calm tone which shows the humbleness towards readers. That's one of the reasons I loved this audiobook. A good recommendation.

(Destructive) Anger Won’t Do You Any Good!

Learning to understand your anger is beneficial. It sure helps to know that we are not alone in it. Being aware of it as it approaches is an excellent approach to diffusing it. The Stages are Trigger, Escalation, Crisis & recovery. Anger can affect our health in various ways, and it causes all kinds of feelings, e.g., feelings of emotional unsafety. It’s a secondary emotion meaning that underlying emotions are probably the cause. My anger went away when I learned to recognize it and shift my mindset by doing various activities like running downstairs or going for a walk. Even escaping to the bathroom for 5 minutes. There are myriads of exercises to help you become more aware of your anger in this book. It is an exhaustive review of ways that you can effectively manage it.

Good starting point.

This book talks about a lot a areas on where anger comes from and how we as individuals should work on managing it. The triggers chapter is a key one in this book and found it very helpful. And the remainder of the book does prove to be useful too.

Great Tools

I was thoroughly impressed with this audiobook on Anger Management and the strategies and techniques it recommended. One of the tools that stood out to me was the journal prompts, which allowed me to reflect on the root causes of my anger and work through my emotions in a healthy way. Another useful tool was the cool-down kit, which provided a set of calming activities to practice during times of heightened anger.

Overall, I found this audiobook to be incredibly helpful in managing my anger and would highly recommend it to anyone struggling with similar issues. The tips and tools provided have made a noticeable difference in my ability to handle difficult situations and emotions.

Good For Family Members Too

I was interested in this book because my mother has been struggling with anger and it is worsening. Of course, the chapter on how anger affects your family, I’m intimately familiar with. I’m beginning to be concerned that for my own mental health as after I spend time with her, the argumentative attitude is affecting my mental health, I have to treat my mother with kid gloves in order to have a healthy conversation.

Of course, I can’t offer this book to her because that will anger her. But at least I have a better understanding of what she’s going through and particularly, I will begin to identify triggers that are coming from me and avoid them. This spoke to me as an area I can greatly contribute to her well-being. Well done.
