About this listen

Never Get Angry Again, by New York Times and internationally best-selling author David J. Lieberman, is a comprehensive, holistic look at the underlying emotional, physical, and spiritual causes of anger and a practical guide to what the listener can do to gain perspective.

David J. Lieberman understands that a change in perspective is all that is needed to help keep from flying off the handle. In Never Get Angry Again, he reveals how to see anger through a comprehensive, holistic lens, illuminates the underlying emotional, spiritual, and physical components of anger, and gives listeners simple, practical tools to snuff out anger before it even occurs.

Take a deep breath and count to 10. Meditate. Visualize your happy place. You've probably heard all of these anger management techniques and more from friends, family, and experts, but somehow they miss the mark when it comes to coping with the complex emotion of anger.

Let's face it: If anger-management techniques were effective, you wouldn't be listening to this audiobook. These clumsy attempts to maintain calmness are usually futile and sometimes emotionally draining. The fact is, either something bothers us (causing anxiety, frustration, or anger), or it doesn't. A state of calm is better accomplished by not becoming agitated in the first place. When we fight the urge to blow up or melt down, we fight against our own nature.

A Roadmap for your life A++++

The title of this book really doesn’t do it justice. I’ve listened to self help books my entire life and there is no equal for this one. In 7 weeks I’ve listened to it 3 times because each time I pickup more. In short, not only don’t I experience anger anymore but all negative thoughts and emotions are gone. I am a completely different person and it feels amazing to change. YOU WONT BE SORRY YOU LISTENED TO THIS BOOK.

Helped me really calm my life down.

Overall book has helped me observe my thoughts rationalize understand being angry literally makes you stupid. One thing that does bug me it seems as if this is directed towards woman. When he talks about mending relationships he only refers to “ talk to him, see how he feels etc” he never says him or her which sort of makes men reading this maybe feel it’s not for them.

More gems than expected!

I was looking for strategies to manage anger, and learned them - plus ways to avoid eliciting anger in others and some psychology skills to influence people! I was impressed with the cohesive bounty of helpful information included.
