I love art therapy!

I've tried art therapy before and it was great, and this audiobook has reminded me I need to get back on it. Love the book, it has a lot of background information about art therapy and how it actually works which I didn't know, and the tips in the book on how to use creativity and self expression to heal are amazing.

Creative and encouraging

I really enjoyed the premise. The author gave insight about art yes, but this was so much more. The audio was like having a guide for any stage of your emotions or desires for the day. Acrylic, watercolor, feathers, and more are mentioned to help get the creative juices into gear. Great audio.

valuable resources

Being able to become self-expressed feels like a dream. Throughout middle school, I was very connected to my creative side but throughout adulthood, I lost touch - until now. Being able to get in touch with this side of me again is truely a gift.

Highly recommend!

This book offers so many different ways to express yourself therapeutically through art for depression and anxiety. I love how the author explains how much time each activity will approximately take and what materials are needed. I also love how the author expresses what to foucs on and how to reflect when doing the activity. The audiobook is calming, brings peace and joy to its listeners, and brings a sense of self-awareness and reflection for each activity. Some of my favorite activities were creating the memory box, using watercolors to paint a sunset, and drawing a picture of my inner child. Truly they are all so great!! I also love how the author includes helpful tips at the end of each chapter. Highly recommend!
