Anxiety reducer

Although I am not a believer in self healing through meditation, I do agree with the author that the techniques to reduce anxiety are great. Dr. Samantha did a great job of presenting her tips and techniques with value.

Great resource for letting go and living full

I found the book to be written in a compassionate, empowering way. Which is fantastic if you are shedding anxiety. Great piece of work.

For too long, we have tried to separate the different parts of ourselves and treat everything with a pill, but it's catching up to us. The mind-body connection is real. One informs the other, and vice versa. I really appreciate how the author has put her heart into holistic health. Written with empathy and wisdom, it's a journey worth taking.

On a personal note, there are elements toward the end of the book that I don't resonate with. The more spiritual elements, for example, are simply not my cup of tea. However, I make note of this because I feel the author does a great job at presenting it in a way that doesn't emphasize one religious practice over another, but comes at it from a more rational approach, looking at certain human faculties and how we might take care of them from all angles. And there are so many tools and tips to choose from, you can pick out what resonates with you.

Overall, it's a great listen for anyone wanting to upgrade their health and let go of anxiety and stress, and so on. Geared towards women, but a great read for anyone.

Common Sense Guide to Anxiety Relief

Dr. Wellappili brings a refreshing tone to anxiety relief by using deep breathing exercises, getting out in nature more, drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, and exercising, even if it is just a little walk around the block at first.

A wonderful audiobook for women although men will benefit from it as well. The author addresses so many examples of things that create anxiety in a women’s world. And she also offers solutions. They almost seem too simple but I guess that is what true self-care is all about, getting back to the simple things that are so much more important than we give them credit for.

Some important facts like the body needing less oxygen when it is in a relaxed state and how breath is our anchor connecting us to every body part were good reminders for me. She stressed the importance of sleep in the healing process. Overthinking the past and worrying about the future are a common source of anxiety for many people.

A PDF with yoga exercises for beginners and free bonus resources including a deep sleep audio and the opportunity to ask questions is included. Highly recommended.

This is a great book that entertains a holistic approach to anxiety, rather than medications. I love the stories of the different women and their experiences with anxiety. The author is a mental health therapist who shares her story and helps to educate you on mindfulness, relaxation and other techniques toward anxiety relief. Source of relief

The author clearly writes from a place of compassion, and it is clear the author is here to help you learn to control your anxiety. I found it to be a heart-centered guide that is proving to be a source of relief and transformation. I was drawn to this book as I have anxiety, as does my daughter and I know that in order to help my daughter address her own anxiety.

Chapter 2 particularly resonated with me as it sheds light on a powerful concept, the need to prioritize what is truly worth our time. We all say we don't have time, there's just not enough time in the day but in reality, we determine what is worth our time. In today's hectic world, it's all too easy to get caught up in a high-paced, stressful life and for women, we face our own societal expectations and stereotypes. The author provides a refreshing perspective on addressing the root cause of anxiety by simple fixes such as changing habits and introducing routines that are uplifting.

I like the advice that the author provides on rejuvenation including ways to improve sleep quality. The narrator has a supportive and nurturing voice so their voice truly brings this book to life and kept me eager to continue to listen. If you or someone you know struggles with the weight of anxiety, amazing book for them to have to begin to take the small steps that will begin to free them.

Wonderful anxiety guide

This audiobook is an enjoyable listen for not only those who struggle with anxiety, but for anyone who struggles with letting go of things that are out of control. I love that the focus is on a "heart centered approach", this allows the body to lead with the heart rather than an anxious, and at time, crippling mind. There are multiple strategies introduced throughout the book that are worth trying on a daily basis. Finding appropriate and health coping strategies to reducing anxiety is also an important focus of this book. I highly recommend!
