A perfect introduction to Ayurveda

Ancient Lifestyle for Modernity
If you can pass through the initial introduction, which in my opinion was too long, this book has a lot of ancient wisdom that we can include in our modern lifestyle. The book goes through a full day, starting with elimination in the morning to pleasure at night and everything in between. The book can be a drudge for first 2-3 hours when the author tries to enumerate her life experience. I understand that she is trying to lay a foundation for the whole lifestyle, but some people might get bored and drop the whole book. This will be a mistake, a little patient in the begining will pay you well later when she will go through the full Lifestyle changes that we all must incorporate in our daily life to enjoy it to our fullest.

So good I'm buying the paperback for my library for easy reference. Very good overview of ayurveda with lots of recipes and information for treatment of different challenges. Covers information for different dosha nutrition protocols for the seasons. Like I said, it was valuable enough information for me to also buy the paperback as part of my physical reference library. If you’re into improving your health and life through Ayurvedic principles it's definitely worth a listen and/or read!

Excellent resource for anyone studying Ayurveda
Wow, what an invaluable resource as far as Ayurvedic lifestyle practices are concerned! Acharya Shunya is a fantastic teacher and I love her stories of her Baba and his wisdom. An incredible source of Ayurvedic information.
Highly recommend for anyone with an interest in Ayurveda. completely suitable as an intro for anyone new to it, but also a deep resource for anyone already following Ayurvedic lifestyle practices or self-educating themselves on the tradition.

Incredible wisdom! Very poor narrating
I read this book before purchasing an audiobook. It’s truly the best book on Ayurveda Science in the Western World! I have been following this lifestyle for 2 years now and have achieved amazing improvements in my health. It lead me to Vedika Global and essentially to become a student of Acharya Shunya. I purchased an audio book to also listen to it whenever I cannot sit down and read it. In my opinion the narrator is not good at all! Not only she sounds like a robot and therefore makes it hard to follow, she also mispronounces all the Sanskrit terminology. I really hope that one day it will be re-done and Shunyaji will narrate herself. She is such a great storyteller! Please do not give up on this book because of narration, instead buy it and read it yourself. You will not regret!

Great book to start on Ayurveda!
Everything we need to know about Ayurveda is here. Great book to start. At first, I didnt like the narrator but I've got used to her later on.

Couldn’t stand the narration!
There is some wonderful information in this book, but I wish the author had done the narration. It was really terrible and very hard to listen to. It sounded like the narrator didn’t have any understanding of the information.
