About this listen

Ten years after Blayne Thorpe first encountered Bo Novikov, she still can't get the smooth-talking shifter out of her head. Now he's shadowing her in New York-all seven-plus feet of him - determined to protect her from stalkers who want to use her in shifter dogfights. Even if he has to drag her off to an isolated Maine town where the only neighbors are other bears almost as crazy as he is....

Let sleeping dogs lie. Bo knows it's good advice, but he can't leave Blayne be. Blame it on her sweet sexiness-or his hunch that there's more to this little wolfdog than meets the eye. Blayne has depths he hasn't yet begun to fathom - much as he'd like to. She may insist Bo's nothing but a pain in her delectable behind, but polar bears have patience in spades. Soon she'll realize how good they can be together. And when she does, animal instinct tells him it'll be worth the wait....

Bo and Blayne come alive!!!

Where does Beast Behaving Badly rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Beast behaving badly is at the top of my list. It is entertaining and captivating. I laughed out loud. I enjoyed reading the book, but the narration really makes these characters, all the characters in the book very real.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beast Behaving Badly?

Blaine is kind of a whacked character. Bo is Bo. All the moments, action in the book come very much to life. It is just over all well done.

Have you listened to any of Charlotte Kane’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to other of her narrations. But knowing that she is the one bringing the story to life in another book would be one of my considerations in buying it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed out loud listening to this book. The narration added a whole dimension to the characters in the book. As I said above, I enjoyed reading the book. The narration just makes these characters so alive. I really enjoyed it.

Any additional comments?

I listen to audiobooks when I drive. I drive more miles then Ieven want to think about during the week. I found myself listening to this book every opportunity I could get. At home at night before I went to bed, walking the dogs, cooking dinner and of course while driving. I was sorry when it was over. I'll just have to look for another one by the same author, and the same narrator.

Oh Blayne....What a wolfdog

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Good grief this book was full of laughter. I wasn't sure at first, but the whole OCD bear cat and ditzy wolfdog made me laugh. I loved this whole story

What other book might you compare Beast Behaving Badly to and why?

I think this reminds me in tone a little of The Mane Squeeze. You have two characters who are opposite and would ordinarily never seem to mesh but do so.

What about Charlotte Kane’s performance did you like?

I love the different intonations of the characters. And how each one has their own personality. It makes them stand out. Even ones who are minor characters

Laurenston's humor at it's finest!

I've read all of her books and this is one of my very favorites. The story line of the whole series is carried though her books so well. This is not the first in the series, but if you want to relax and have some laughs it I s a book for you. it can stand alone, but don't miss the rest of the series.

Adorable, Sexy, and Hysterical

Blaine and Bo’s story has been my favorite in the Pride Series! They’re both perfectly ridiculous and they make me smile and snort-laugh! Loved this book!

Sweet and Funny

I truly love all the books by Shelly Laurenston because they have great characters with quirky personalities and they make you love them. I really like this narrator too. It's like she was made to read for this author. They're a winning team.

Wackiness personified, but, entertaining

Something about this series keeps my interest, but, I'm not exactly sure! :-) I am not the biggest fan of the narrator, but she seems to get stellar reviews; I suppose its like eating asparagus or sushi---it's definitely an acquired taste. This 5th installment was one of the funnier stories, which was unexpected, because goofy Blayne didn't make a big impression on me in the previous book so I was unsure about her story. I was pleasantly surprised though; her man, Bo or 'BOLD', was the scene winner from beginning to end, he was a great big ole bad attitude polar lion hybrid, and the two of them together were pretty darn hilarious. As they took on the bear country in an effort to keep Blayne safe from hybrid hunters, the hijinks were in full effect. Despite the so-so narration, this series is like paranormal romantic slap-stick comedy that will entertain you while making you melt just a little at the sweetness of it all.

So imanginative

She went for a pairing encompassing essentially every hybrid with this pair. Opposite ends of the personality spectrum also. it was awesome. I can't get enough of the wild dogs. :)

My favorite one!

This book was so funny and entertaining! I love Blayne she’s my favorite character in these books! I wasn’t sure at first how her and Bo we’re going to do since they are complete opposites but they balance each other so nicely. I also like that Blayne is so badass and can take care of herself like how she fought off all those humans by herself. This has been the best book in this series!
