Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Exactly what we needed for calmer nights
If you’ve got a kid who resists bedtime like it’s their job, I feel you. My son has ADHD and nighttime has always been the toughest part of the day—restless body, racing mind, all the things. We tried this audiobook on a whim, and wow, it actually helped.
The stories are short enough to keep his attention but still meaningful. They sneak in little lessons about focus and emotions in a way that doesn’t feel forced. What really surprised me was how he started bringing up parts of the stories the next day—asking questions, making little connections. That never happened with our old routine.
We still have our wobbly nights, but this has made a noticeable difference. Less bedtime stalling, more cozy listening, and a smoother wind-down overall. It’s earned a permanent spot in our nighttime playlist.

Awesome Children's Stories
This was a great book! The stories gave practical methods of overcoming common challenges for all children, not just for kids with ADHD. The narrator had the perfect voice for bedtime stories, and she changes her voice for the different characters in the stories.

Great bedtime stories
Honestly, this book has been a total game changer for us. My son has ADHD and bedtime used to be a chaotic mess—until we started reading these stories. He actually *asks* for them now. The stories are calming, positive, and sneak in little lessons about focus and emotions without feeling preachy. He feels understood, and I finally get to end the day on a peaceful note. Total win.

Our New Go-To Night Reads
Bedtime used to be a struggle with my daughter—she’d be restless and all over the place. I gave this a try hoping it would help her settle, and it’s been a great addition. The stories are short enough to keep her engaged, and she really connects with the characters. I’ve noticed she’s calmer after we read and falls asleep a bit easier. It’s turned into a nice way to end the day without all the usual stress.
