Publisher's summary

The Formorians, led by the gigantic Queens, have breached humanity's last line of defense.

Elaine – now Sentinel Dawn – and the rest of the Sentinels need to rush to the front lines to attempt to stabilize the situation and bring the 2500-year long war against the Formorians to a grand finale.

And yet, beyond them lurks an even greater danger.

What could've possibly driven the Formorian Queens and Royal Guards out of their lairs, into human territory? Will Elaine and the Sentinels have to pay a terrible price to save humanity? Or will civilization be smashed, and humans scattered to the winds? And what, exactly, are the Dragoneye Moons?

Didn’t even stop between this and the next book

So a full marathon going on here. After taking a long time between books 1 and 2, I’m now sprinting through the series as if I’m on a deadline.

Elaine is getting more OP but that is to be expected with her accumulative stat point bonuses. Smart girl 😉 and she’s making the most of it.

Still goofy, precocious, loyal, socially awkward and ADHD as F. Gotta love her

last 2 hours are a waste

I don't care about the ancillary character at all. Why are we wasting valuable storytelling time on this annoyance

otherwise the book is great

Fantastic

There’s no takeaways from the book, but what happened to the chapter titles? Otherwise one of my favorites!

title drop

It took 4 books, but finally got the title mentioned in story, and it only coat a nation worth of existence for the exposition XD

LOVE

I am digging this series so much! Going to talk about some things we see, so if you want to go in blind, don’t read. In this book, we see some more bad ass fights… we’re introduced to dwarves, and we see some more of our Valkyrie. Now I will say I’m exceedingly happy that, finally, we get a hint about how the two stories will connect. It’s been driving me crazy!!

Onto narration, Andrea is fabulous as always. The perfect cast for this series. No more needs to be said.

Join the craze. and get the the series!

Just like it sounds the Famorians have penetrated the wall that had always been the last line of defense between civilization and utter chaos and death... With the wall broken it's up to the Sentinels to stop them. With Sentinel Dawn/Elaine keeping her teammates alive if she can, and if possible explore beyond the wall.
Join the craze, and grab the books.

Lots of Action on This One

This book features nearly non-stop action and an expansion of the world. Very well done and exciting. The stat spam persists but you are used to that by now or you would have dropped the series in the second book.

I'm not a super big fan of the Iona parts at the end, but I'm sure it will be interesting when she and Dawn meet, which given their similarities is a certainty. I did find it interesting at the hints about Dawn's future that are revealed in this part, however.
