Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places - and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shape-shift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind. This is a great series.

I took a chance trying out a new author when I got this book, and I am so happy that I did. The whole series is good. I like the fantasy and paranormal genre, but I've never been big on werewolves. This series changed my mind. If you like the Sookie series by Charlaine Harris, give this one a shot. The reader is EXCELLENT! Her voices are amazing.

Great series. Intriguing characters, engaging storylines & Loreli King is one of the BEST narrators around. I only wish I'd found this series sooner.

Better than the first

This is a strong follow up to the first book in the series. I hope there will be more to come in the future.

I've listened to this series for years

All of Briggs book flow by. Mercy's books show "monsters" that you can understand, as do the Alpha and Omega books which tie in to this series.

Werewolves Are Sexy!!!

Would you listen to Blood Bound: Mercy Thompson, Book 2 again? Why?

Yes. I love the storyline. I love Lorelei King's narration. She brings the characters to life. I am so happy that she reads the Stephanie Plum novels. Can't wait.

The Patricia Briggs' stories are so riveting that relistening is almost required. Every time I listen to a book a 2nd or even 3rd time, I pick up more nuances in the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the way she builds the characters so that by the time the book ends, the reader can't wait to start the next one. This story almost makes vampires likable beasts...even if they are monsters. I wish I knew some.

Which character – as performed by Lorelei King – was your favorite?

I think it has to be Mercy although she does a good job with the vampires and the wolves, too. Samuel/Sam is sounds so cuddly if you believe her take.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

You don't know what evil lies right across your backyard.

Any additional comments?

Only that I love these stories and love Ms. King's narration.

love it, almost gives me an Anita Blake vibe

I love the touch of the music in the beginning and at the end, the characters have depth and the narrator is awesome even though I don't like the way she pronounces some words. accents are on point.
