About this listen

Yuutan is the homeland of a living legend, a place that birthed Holvti. A nation on the coast of the great ocean where Tiberaasian smiths ply their trade, making master-crafted weapons, and whose guardsmen patrol in armor that gleamed like stained glass in the sun. For Duren it is the perfect place to get away, relax, repair Lisika's broken sword, and spend some time with his new wife.

But Yuutan is under a cloud, people on the road are disappearing without a trace. Something lurks in Yuutan, and for Duren and his companions it might get personal.

An enjoyable enough book despite the retcons and meandering plot. Not a fan of the change in narrator, picks odd choices for inflection and tone.

Enjoyable

Good follow up series and after the Viva La Dirt League Epic NPC Man easter egg the story picks up nicely. The only issue I had was the narrator, and especially how he pronounced Lisika's name. it was total differnt from the first narrator and he even changed it himself throughout the book sometimes he would say Lusika, Lasika, Lisiga, Etc. It felt like he would say one letter wrong but was not consistant which letter to be wrong with so sometimes it took a sec for me to realize he was not talking about a new woman.

Good follow up, Funny Easter Egg, Narration Off

Duren and Lisika just want to have a honeymoon and get her sword reforged, not too much to ask, right? but it would seem Ultar has different plans that his wife the goddess of justance would approve of.

bringing the right people together at just rhw right times to administer justice for true, however justified evil. looking forward to the next book.

The story Continues.

I do hope the Gang from vivala dirt league sees this because I found the Easter eggs quite funny

Another excellent story from the author but the narrator kind of ruined it for me. The narrator could have listened to the first story and stuck with the pronunciation of the names. There were a few times when i got pretty frustrated with audio due to the aforementioned issues with the narration and mispronounced words. The Narrator's voice isn't bad and he could be really good at times. I would have kept using the first narrator.

New narrator hard to listen to the way words were pronounced differently

I’ve been waiting for the continuation of this series for quite a while and it did not disappoint. Narrator took some getting used to but he did quite well as the book progressed, he just needs to work on his pronunciations more, particularly with names.

Great sequel!

If you’re going to be narrating a book after the first one, you should listen to the prior book. It just helps things along for the listeners. Aside from the jarring pronunciation shift, this narrator seems to have problems with subtle inflections and contextual tone.

The narrator wasn’t good.

Thought the story was good, but this Narrator is boring. The Narrator in the first book was much better. couldn't finish this one

disappointed
