About this listen

After a month of hunting for her, Asher isn’t expecting to stumble across Brie again, but once he does, he’s determined not to let her go.

Brie knew it was a mistake to warn the hunter about the approaching danger facing the Alliance compound. She learned long ago that getting involved resulted in pain. However, she couldn’t resist trying to help, and now she’s paying for her mistake.

When Asher learns Brie is hiding secrets that could be the key to defeating their enemies, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her, even if it costs him his life.

Can he keep her safe from the dangers pressing closer, or will the knowledge she holds destroy them all?

Cliffhanger & plot mover

Lots of happenings. Main characters are strong and committed but now we’re getting to know the other people in the story line.

Great series

I am so hooked by the characters that I’m on book 9 now. I’m not sure I want the series to end.

Hmmm

I really wish they would get the narrator right with this. I’ve been reading this series from the beginning, and it just seems as if the narrator just keeps getting worse. It took a lot for me to keep up with this because of all the definite narrators. They’ve changed the pronunciations of the names as well as accents. Love the story but won’t continue this on Audible. I would prefer to read it myself.

Whispered Narration, Dragging Story

I was dying for this book to end…same as the last one. Not because it wasn’t a good story, but because the narrator WHISPERED THE WHOLE THING. Action scene? Whisper. Crying emotional story share? Whisper. The story wasn’t as good as the previous ones, focusing on the character’s inner, mundane thoughts so much that the story wasn’t really even there. Then it starts to get good in the last three minutes and ends on a cliffhanger. Again. I think I’m letting this one go on hanging. I can’t deal with the narrator a third time when the story doesn’t even have a decent plot. Time to move on!
