About this listen
The Bridgefinders have won a battle they never expected to walk away from. The Slyph has been pushed back, and now faces open rebellion from Grellnot. War is brewing on the Echo World, a war that has large implications for us. Within the Bridgefinders something rotten has taken hold, as one of their own starts down a dark path of jealousy, anger, and hate. When woman from a mysterious group known only as the Shrouded comes with a warning, her appearance proves to be a tipping point as the Bridgefinders face a new challenge, the evil within.

When Quinn was told he was deemed fit to learn magic as an apprentice, he didn't know what to expect. Story
The end of the world is non-negotiable. How it happens is still up in the air. Ryan Smith was a boring guy. The only remotely interesting thing about him was the man in a suit that no one else could see. Always watching, always taking notes. Why? Because it's Ryan's job to supervise the end of the world. As the newly appointed guardian of a nanoverse, an object that gives him the power of a god, it's up to Ryan to try and save humanity, even though he can't save the world. Shockingly, not everyone is on board with the end of the world, especially Enki.

Strange Grellnot noises!
You know, when you have a strange creature that you don't know what it is, how are they going to sound, and how you as a listener know the creature will be engagingly dangerous?..I always prefered creepy scene chewing villains..I came into the story in book 2..but it was clear that Bad Things where going to happen, if Key couldn't figure out what to do!

Bridgebreaker
Any additional comments?
Overall an interesting, creative and entertaining story. I enjoyed this installment much more than the first book. The narration flowed much more smoothly and only added to the overall enjoyment of the story allowing me to concentrate more on the story without being distracted by the narration.
Magic, suspense, elves, unusual creatures, intrigue, alternate world, magical "bridges" and more.
The Bridgefinders are basically the defenders of Earth from the Slyph an evil magical entity from the "Echo World".
In this installment things were not as predictable as in the first book. There were new characters with many more twists to the story. In this book you find out much more of the history surrounding the Bridgefinders. They not only have to fight outside evil, but an evil within.
There were a couple of times the story stalled a bit then picked up the pace again.
Every time I hear Grellnot, I can’t help but picture him looking like Gollum
Trenton Bennett did a really good job with the narration. Nice voice, easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken. Nice even pace. Great character voices. Even the female character voices were good. He was able to bring the characters and the story to life through his narration. I would definitely listen to other books he narrates in the future.
They need to have him go back and re-narrate the fist book in the series. It would make a HUGE difference, that would definitely be beneficial to the author.
I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher.

Great Second Book
This is the second book in the series and the tale is creative and very entertaining. This book could be read as a stand alone as it opens with a brief synopsis of what happened in the first book, but reading the first book increases one's understanding and motivations of the characters and presents a clearer picture of the interaction between the Echo World and the human world. I totally recommend this book to anyone who likes this genre. Trenton Bennett does a great job with the narration, enhancing the story through his voice characterizations. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Baskerville Book Reviews
I previously reviewed book 1 in this series and I made it clear I wasn’t overly fond of it. That being said, I thought it had potential and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious where this series went.
The totally interesting protagonist from the first book actually had some character development this time around. He was actually interesting, for a change. Add in a new witch, whose name I can’t remember and the two of them have some chemistry and their relationship is tumultuous at best. I’m interested to see if they go anywhere or remain friends. Or if they’re even friends, to begin with.
I bring that up because there’s still far too much “Jasmine is the protagonist’s ex-girlfriend” talk. Despite Jasmine not having as much paper-time as the other characters, she seems more memorable this time around. But every time the story refers to how she and protagonist used to date once, it detracts from that. It feels as if they spend more time talking about how they dated once than they spent in a relationship.
Isran, as always, continues to be an insufferable jackass. I really hate him as a person and the type of person he represents and I hope he fails at all of his future endeavors in any book(s) yet to be released in this series.
While Cruella de Vil and Gizmo have their own little war brewing in their world, the pacing of the story overall is off. The heroes all speak of this impending doom if Gizmo manages to defeat Cruella, but their actions are those of people with all the time in the world. There were times when the protagonist was distracted or I’d realize I hadn’t heard from them in a while and wondered how Gizmo and Cruella were holding up. Their war didn’t really get the page time I felt it deserved.
The audiobook narrator did a great job with voices. The overall narration was good, I enjoyed it and he brought a lot of life to the story.
The section below will contain spoilers.
I was thinking back on the Forgemaster Cycle, which I felt had a lackluster ending, much like this story. The entire story builds up this giant war that’s relegated to the background. Only for it to fizzle out in a matter of seconds in the most anticlimactic way possible. As I made that realization, I noticed that both series had a power-hungry, backstabbing leader, who betrayed their people in the end because they blamed the new-guy prodigy for all of their problems.
I’m not a fan of the recycled plotlines with a new coat of paint when neither story was paced particularly well. It admittedly soured my opinion of both series. This book doesn’t have a sequel. All I’m going to think about when I remember this series and the Forgemaster Cycle book 3 is how they both have the same terribly paced, over-used plot trope about the leader who dislikes the upstart new prodigy. That and the big deal over an impending doom that’s defeated easier than a house of cards.
Despite my opinion of this story being sullied, I enjoyed it and I still recommend it for a read.

Better than the First
Cendan's adventures continues with improved narration/editing in this second book. After a recap of Book 1, it jumps right back into the action. Major characters take some turns for the worse, and even get killed off. The perils between the worlds become more defined and a fairly satisfying ending brings this 2nd book to a close. It also sets up a 3rd book very nicely. I got my copy from Audiobooks Unleashed.

inconsistent and Inappropriate
The first book of this series was clean, except for profanity. This book is inconsistent and inappropriate in that it has sexual innuendos and even a non descriptive sex scene. I was unable to finish and am dissapointed beyond description.
