Ok but some bits grate on your nerves

Both books are fairly similar with the first being more of a "evil within the system releasing all the bad guys" kind of book, whereas the second is a "the good guy gets infected and might die but will first save the world" kind of book.. There is a bit of character development, some back stories, etc but a lot of the book is action and I enjoyed that.

What I hated was the side kick. I know that he was written for comic relief but every interaction with him was annoying and every explanation of his behaviour ("dropped on his head as a baby") was cringe-worthy. I almost gave up without finishing the books because I disliked the character so much. Anyway, it was worth the effort of persevering. The books are action filled, light entertainment and well worth the time.

shallow writing

this has probably been the worst audio book I've ever listened to and I've listened to alot. the shallow writing and the logical leaps the characters make make no sense and the relationship growth seems forced and fake. has the writing depth of a preteen who's been sheltered. I'll not read another from this author I think. the narrator did his best but you can't fix this mess.

poor story line

the narrator was great. the story line insulted cop's. as well as young men of 25 years old. playing them both as having the INT -10 a six year old kid would have made better chooses in game play than the wright pertrad the charter, no grown man would make that many dumb dision with out being completely mentally impard. wrighting from a point of view as someone how has never been in a fight of any kind , did no justice either.
