A good captain protects his crew. Who protects the captain?

A shuffling of cabins puts Ishmael Horatio Wang in command of the worst ship in the fleet. Very Enjoyable Listening

I really enjoyed the story. It is what I would call a feel good story. Fun to listen to. The narrator is excellent. He is perfect for these audiobooks. I recommend you start with book one and listen to the entire series.

keep listening

a weak link in this series. most of it is fine I guess. the start is pretty abysmal but the book tacks in the middle back into the slice of life space stuff that we all love.

I can't believe I love a series about commercial freighters in space!

Mr. Lowell's Coast Guard and Maritme experience really make the stories come to life. It may be that as a fellow Maine born former Coastie myself there is a unique appeal to me, but, others also seem enamored of his stories as well. I can't wait for the next book in 11 days!

Nathan Lowell !

I've read or listened to everything Lowell has written and have enjoyed every instance of it. This is as good as when these stories were under podcast. Only difference Nathan did the original readings and very well at that.
Overall five stars is really not fair, there should be more Stars.

riveting but objectively boring

I really like this book I'm not sure why the subject matter at first glance seems like paint drying for a Sci-Fi novel. however I start listening to it and I can't put it down.

Very good and relaxing read

Great evolution to the story. I like how Ishmael develops over the course of the story and series, from lost teen to capable leader. Though the story is not complex, it does show how decency can triumph over adversity.
