About this listen

This is not an anti-aging book. It's a groundbreaking guide to functional aging - extending our healthy and active lives longer than ever thought possible. Practical immortality may be within our grasp, due to cutting-edge scientific research and amazing medical breakthroughs that are coming at an astonishing speed. In Chasing Life, prominent neurosurgeon and medical journalist Sanjay Gupta, MD, blends accounts of discoveries from around the world with advice for optimal health and longevity.

Dr. Gupta's findings are provocative and even counterintuitive. For instance, did you know that the secret to living longer may not be about eating well, but eating less? That those nutritional supplements you're taking could be a waste of money? That one single exercise technique could be sufficient to prolong life?

Dr. Gupta also predicts advances that will revolutionize our health, including application of stem-cell therapy to make degenerative diseases a bad memory, and advances in gene sequencing and nanotechnology. In this life-changing audiobook, Dr. Sanjay Gupta will revolutionize the way you think about aging and reveal the secrets to helping you live a longer, healthier life.

I liked this book.
OK, it's a topic I always like.
Much of the information I have read elswhere before (e.g. Dr Perricone). But there were new things. The presentation/speaker was good. Some things are just a view in the future and not implementable at the moment but still interesting. Only 4 stars because it's a little short for the money.

Thanks to Dr. Gupta’s depth of knowledge and impressive ability to clearly share that with listeners, there are a lot of helpful facts and suggestions shared that I can implement in my daily life to “Chase Life.”

Concise, Objective, and Cleae

I was poised to get the next installment on life extension or new science and health breakthroughs but instead I got a rehash of old supplement information and a lecture on how to eat "good foods". Very disappointing. With so much going on that is new I can't help but think that this author is just un-informed. Sorry I cannot recommend this book.

Disappointing
