I like the content of this audiobook however I felt this information isn’t new. Eat a plant based diet and take care of yourself.

However there is a lot of background information that proves why eating plant based diet is better for you.

Since it has a lot of technical info, which I liked, I felt it would be easier to read than listen to. They reference info in the pdf but it’s not in chronological with the chapters and that makes it hard to follow.

I am a dentist and love the fact that the first few chapters are dedicated to scientific proof of the concepts discussed in the book!

I also love that the authors, both Dr. Dean and Anne Ornish, go beyond the scientific component and dive into the psychological part of being a happy human. As I get older (and theoretically wiser) the psychological component becomes more and more the focus - love and joy. This is made very clear in the book and greatly appreciated.

I do not have the physical copy of the book and was a bit lost when all the exercises and food preps were discussed. It is clear that you need to download the pdf which includes a significant amount of critical info.

The authors humor and conviction comes through very well and I appreciate everything the Ornish's are doing to bring truth and clarity to an epidemic of poor nutrition and mindfulness in this world.

I would recommend this book if you are looking for a healthier, happier lifestyle that is backed by science and love.

Dean's narration was great, very personable. Just speed Anne up so she's talking like a normal human instead of a meditating spiritual guru, and you'll get through it!

the book was recommended to me by a friend. not only do the cover the benefits of a plant based diet but also other factors for overall health like exercise and meditation. the accompanying PDF with recipes will be a helpful resource. I enjoyed the performance with Dean and Anne both reading.
