About this listen

No war can be fought with clean hands. Not even the ones waged for the right reasons. Not even the ones you win.

Tisaanah bargained away her own freedom to save those she left behind in slavery. Now, bound by her blood pact, she must fight the Orders' war—and Max is determined to protect her at all costs.

But when a betrayal tears apart Ara, Max and Tisaanah are pushed into an even bloodier conflict. Tisaanah must gamble with Reshaye's power to claim an impossible victory. And Max, forced into leadership, must confront everything he hoped to forget: his past, and his own mysterious magic.

All the while, darker forces loom—far darker, even, than the Orders' secrets.

As Tisaanah and Max are ensnared in a web of ancient magic and twisted secrets, one question remains: what are they willing to sacrifice for victory? For power? For love?

Contains mature themes.

Every moment

Every moment, every pull of emotion to the surface hit a bit too true. I loved every second of it. And related to so many points more then I care to remember. Beautiful.

This story is so well developed and so epic.

The deep feelings and stakes that are well developed and thought through. Wow. It has been a long time since a mid series book has held me in such a grip.

AMAZING!!

Im honestly blown away. Carissa Broadbent has a way of weaving these intricate plot lines with amazing character development. The world building is phenomenal and so thought out. I absolutely love the angst and tension we get with Max and Tisaanah. I love the flow of past and present timelines to create a beautiful set up for the big conflict. The audiobook was fantastic and I think the narrators fit well. Great job!

Wow!

Honestly, there are no words right now. I just finished Children of Fallen Gods and I’m still reeling from everything that happened. This book gripped me even more than Daughter of No Worlds did, and I devoured it in a matter of a few days. I plan on immediately diving into the final book. The narrators continued to do an incredible job bringing the characters to life in the audiobook.

I love Aefe

I didn’t think I could love a character more than Tisaanah. Aefe’s story is… wow. What a freaking second book!!!

Lots of world building

Okay, the 2nd book kind of drags in & on. I 30-second skipped a lot, especially with the Ava (sp?) scenes. I pushed through un order to not get lost in book 3.
The narrators make it hard to focus, even with speeding up the tempo. The female narrator is a pain I tolerated for the sake of the story. In the future, I'll avoid books read by her.
