Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

sweet little short

Small slice of life with lots of couples and their kids. Icing treats for the party turns into a party itself. Everyone that stole a taste early had to pitch in to finish the delicious replacements. 😊

Heartwarming

Any additional comments?

While this is billed as a short story, it is more a character study. A slice of pack life -with the Dark River Cats. No major action, no evil forces out to cause harm, just a nice afternoon spent a home with friends and family.
Fans of the Psy/Changeling universe should like this visit with old friends.

Cute short story

This is a cute short story of a sweet moment in DarkRiver. I wasn’t as excited by narrator Angela Dawe’s performance as I’d hoped, but it was ok.

Great short story.

This short audio book makes me want to go back and read all the stories in the series! Great narration and a sweet short story. You really get a feel for all of the couples.

You need to read the series.

This is nicely written. Clearly the series is also fun. However if you are not familiar with the series this doesn’t do a great job of giving you much of a taste.

Speed reading?

Reader seemed to be in a race. I actually had to slow the book down. They also need to practice stage whispers or the producer needs to work on audio control. People speaking quietly were too quiet.

Heartwarming peek at 'everyday life'.

4.5/5; 4 stars; A

Really just a vignette....like looking in the window and watching some friends and family have a moment of everyday life. Sweet.
I enjoy seeing glimpses of 'normal' for the characters in this series.
The audiobook was a free snippet, only about 20 minutes long. Fun.

A wonderful moment for love

If you need a moment of time to uplift and just smile this short story is perfect for that task. I could smell the cookies, cakes and hear the murmur of voices and laughter. And recognize them in my own memories.
