Publisher's summary

A lesbian romance about breaking all the rules.

Viva Jones was great once. A top 10 tennis player with a grand slam trophy to her name, she had the world at her feet. Then an overzealous lineswoman's bad call knocked her out of the US Open, and a persistent injury crushed her career. While battling to return to the game she loves, a chance meeting with the lineswoman, Gabriela, forces Viva to rethink the past...and the present.

Away from the court, Gabriela is sexy, athletic, and lives for her career as an umpire. She seems to be falling for Viva as hard and fast as Viva is for her. There's just one problem: players and officials can't date.

Contains mature themes.

Tennis!!

Loved the spin on this love story!
Enjoyed the professionalism, and I could see almost every point being played in the tennis matches.

Love Wins: Game, Set, Match

I love how this narrator told the story, projecting the emotions of both the disappointments and the happiness.

Code of Conduct 🎾

This was equal parts Tennis World and love story. Viva and Gabriela meet and hit it off, but due to their roles in the game of tennis, they are not allowed to have a relationship. From there, we are taken on a ride through the tournaments that the pair took part in. I admit that I know not much of the sport, but was able to follow the game easily - great writing!

All in all, it was a good story...I enjoyed it. I love sports romances, and Viva and Gabriela were hot together!

Loved the narrator!! Claire Alain 👏👏👏

Nice Australian Tennis Love Story

I love when I find a good lesbian sports book. Code of Conduct had me from the first words spoken in an Australian accent. Narrator did a great job with the different accents/voices. So the tennis star lost an important match because of a bad call by the line judge. Line judge is later, stranded in Australia with a broken rental car, when Australian tennis star stops to help the stranger. they quickly dislike one another. There's tennis played and drinks served at the family's restaurant until the two women finally sleep together but the line judge isn't supposed to spend time with players naturally so they try to continue apart and are sad and the tennis player keeps saying she's retiring and her wrist is so bad that she needs pain meds before matches, etc... I wont ruin any surprises but it was a great story. I'm a little surprised I liked it so much.

Great story & performance

This was an in-depth story into the world of women’s tennis. The organization operated under the guise of no friendships/relationships of any kind, between players, and umpires or officials.
Viva, a grand slam winner enters into a relationship with an official Gabriella.
There are many ups and downs, and falling outs even though both feel “this could be the one” They try to be surreptitious about their relationship, but of course the gossip begins, and the strain is too much for them both.
The MC’s are very well fleshed out, with backstory, and well developed personalities.
The description of Australia and its people were a treat to read! The author knows her stuff.
If you like to read of different cultures and burgeoning relationships, fraught with the not-so-common obstacles, then this book is for you.

I found that it was very repetitive that the author kept is dragging the story on it was worth the read but only once. Not really a fan.

Probably could’ve been shorter

The book was OK, I certainly have listen to worse… The thing I found about this book is it probably could’ve been told in a shorter period of time. The story just seem to drag on.
