Publisher's summary

What is a billionaire heiress supposed to do when all of her older siblings take to business like her parents, proving that business is in their blood.

But not hers?

There are many good choices. Unfortunately, Chloe decided that partying was the right one. Now, to keep her money, she’s required to attend daily meetings with the family psychologist - daily meetings about how she must change her present to change her future.

The worst part? The meetings are before noon, so she has to get up early. Then he presents her with an offer.

Invest in a new game company and become the first player to stay inside their full-immersion pod for two years.

Two years away from her parents looking down on her and from listening to her siblings and their success? Done. There's only one problem: Chloe's avatar connects to a Goddess of Retribution who doesn't remember her past.

Following the rabbit trail of armor to help the goddess will require more responsibility from Chloe than she has ever accepted before.

Will she return to being the party girl of her past, or will the Lagarde daughter tempered in fire wake up?

Good story but annoying writing

Its written with lots of redundancies by repeating game messages 6-8 times and restating the MCs stats after no change in them or after 1 previously stated upgrade. Plus, as a mmorpg player, the MC drives me up the wall. She does some of the dumbest I've seen, making me question how she knows how to breath. And I get that she's never played a game, but that is no excuse to throw away reason.

The first person killed in a zombie apocalypse

I love lit rpgs, I’m even ok with the ones where the MC doesn’t really enjoy fighting. There are other options, but just under four hours in and I’m ready to murder hobo this chick as painfully as possible. I get she didn’t get the full read in but you would think she would of done some kind of research on this game thing or atleast made sure she had a lawyer in the room making sure everything is above the bar not some doctor who she knows is in love with the gamer lady! You need someone who is going to advocate for you whose d*ck isn’t in the mix! Plus I’m sorry if someone comes for me in the night I’m going to defend both me and my friends, it was perfectly rational for someone to fight so this supposed light bulb moment of “oh, they were just trying to help us.” Is utter bull. I tried to push through and see if she would finally get a wake up call so I came to the reviews to see if it finally gets better, nope. The main character is the first person murdered in an apocalypse, if not by their own stupidity then by the group when they get sick of protecting dead weight.
