For 26-year-old rent boy, Chance Matthews, surviving day-to-day in San Francisco is difficult enough. Then an ill-fated road trip to Wyoming to search for his biological father throws his life into a tailspin. When a string of catastrophes leaves him stranded and desperate, help comes from the last person he'd expect. His knight in shining armor is everything he could want and then some, but Chance is sure a man like that would never want someone like him. That's the stuff of fairy tales, and he stopped believing in those a long time ago.
Coming Home is the ninth book in Alexa Land's best-selling Firsts and Forever series, but each book can stand alone, so jump in anywhere. Includes graphic sex and explicit language and is intended for adults only.

Honey? Please don't ask all these people to live with us until AFTER I meet them? Is this too much to ask??

***Spoilers***
I don’t think how Chance fell in love with Finn was done very well. Like we were supposed to assume that because of the first couple of connections they had related to sex, they fell in love. It was clear they were in love as Chance left for Wyoming, but I just feel like I missed something between them. We really didn’t a lot of Finn’s feelings or thoughts when he talks about meeting Chance for the first time. It did not take away from the story, just a missed opportunity.
When Chance answered Finn’s call in the parking lot after his car was stolen and he tells Finn that they took bo-bo, it was funny & heartbreaking. I usually don’t like books that pull on your heartstrings, but I teared up a few times throughout the story.
I like how there weren’t easy fixes. The author could have easily used the rich dad or rich friends to solve all their problems, but they didn’t. The main characters committed to each other and accepted what had to be done with a little help from their friends and family.
Emotional, but Great
