About this listen

For 26-year-old rent boy, Chance Matthews, surviving day-to-day in San Francisco is difficult enough. Then an ill-fated road trip to Wyoming to search for his biological father throws his life into a tailspin. When a string of catastrophes leaves him stranded and desperate, help comes from the last person he'd expect. His knight in shining armor is everything he could want and then some, but Chance is sure a man like that would never want someone like him. That's the stuff of fairy tales, and he stopped believing in those a long time ago.

Coming Home is the ninth book in Alexa Land's best-selling Firsts and Forever series, but each book can stand alone, so jump in anywhere. Includes graphic sex and explicit language and is intended for adults only.

So sweet!

Very sweet and loving book. It didn't shy away from tough story lines and many characters had a tough background. It has tons of sappy love though and strong family values, which I love! I appreciate the relationship descriptions that depict kind and loving people. I think the world would be a better place if society focuses on kindness more. And the love making is very sexy!

Loved it!!!

Greg did an amazing job narrating one of my all time favorite books of Alexa’s!!! Chance finally gets his happily ever after. I was curious about both him and Finn when they showed up in previous books. Chance’s background is heart breaking but I loved his reunion with his brother. Finn was a surprise…once he opened up to Chance he became a big marshmallow!

Fun word play in Chap 21, 16:37

A little too syrupy for me. The story just seemed unrealistic & therefore implausible.
Honey? Please don't ask all these people to live with us until AFTER I meet them? Is this too much to ask??

Emotional, but Great

I really enjoyed this book. If you like books with no stupid misunderstandings or too much stubbornness and sex and humor, listen to this book. I borrowed from the escape package, but it’s totally worth a credit. Side note: The way the description reads, the main character mets someone on his trip, but the love interest is Finn. I didn’t really pay attention to Chance’s observations about Finn at the beginning because I didn’t know he was the one. I wish I had known that from the beginning.

***Spoilers***
I don’t think how Chance fell in love with Finn was done very well. Like we were supposed to assume that because of the first couple of connections they had related to sex, they fell in love. It was clear they were in love as Chance left for Wyoming, but I just feel like I missed something between them. We really didn’t a lot of Finn’s feelings or thoughts when he talks about meeting Chance for the first time. It did not take away from the story, just a missed opportunity.

When Chance answered Finn’s call in the parking lot after his car was stolen and he tells Finn that they took bo-bo, it was funny & heartbreaking. I usually don’t like books that pull on your heartstrings, but I teared up a few times throughout the story.

I like how there weren’t easy fixes. The author could have easily used the rich dad or rich friends to solve all their problems, but they didn’t. The main characters committed to each other and accepted what had to be done with a little help from their friends and family.

I could not wait to see what happened next. The feelings of the young adults and sibings made me cry. I had sinilar trestment in my esrly life. I could relate to Chance and his brother, and Elijah too. Hot scenes described very well, so much, so my blood pressure rocketed! Recommend this book.

Enjoyable Despite annoying Nana

I really enjoyed the story. The MCs are tender and loving. The dynamic between Finn and Chance so sweet. I couldn’t stand the Nana character. She’s a total characterization and I found her completely annoying. Plus her character didn’t add anything to the story. Without her, it would have been 4 stars for me. Excellent narration as always by GT.
