I have nearly 500 fantasy and sci-fi books and this series is one of the best. I love the character interaction. I love that it constantly surprises you and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The only thing I hate, is having to wait for the next book in the series. It was so bittersweet to finish this book. I can't wait for more.

Great story as usual, I do like it when each book is complete and all the threads are tied up. This series compared to the previous series is a little loose with that.

The continous character development stands out most. The added layers give greater depth to the saga and pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. Michael Manning has become one of my favorite authors.

Great continuation, a lot of Lore drops that tie the story together spanning multiple series. Long time fans will see them coming but very satisfying. Also the the new developments were very exciting. My one complaint is that the book ended and now I have to wait for the next one lol

it was really nice to come back to this world. I like the further fleshing out of the support characters although some were absent which confused me. The stakes in this one didn't seem as direct as the art of the adept series.

I finished it at an unhealthy rate, it was that good. The characters keep evolving, the impediments keep coming, and the struggle keeps your heart on a razor's edge. I love this series and this author. Can't wait for book 3!
