FBI Special Agent Samantha Kennedy is haunted by her memories of the serial killer who abducted her. To keep the darkness at bay, she pretends to be a different, more confident woman. This Samantha doesn't fear every unknown face. So she throws caution to the wind and shares a night of unbridled passion with a handsome stranger.
One night isn't enough for successful entrepreneur Max Ridgeway. He wants more of the sexy, smart, mysterious woman who slipped away before dawn. When they meet again, their attraction is undeniable - until his stepbrother goes missing, and Max realizes that Samantha isn't who she seems. But they must trust each other to trap a ring of bloodthirsty kidnappers before the nightmares that terrorize Sam become irrevocably real.

Where does Deadly Lies rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I loved this book...lots of suspense...good romance and for once they figured out who the killer was and didn't fall into an obvious trap so in this series it is definitely ranked pretty highWhat was one of the most memorable moments of Deadly Lies?
I was really surprised when I found out who the main killer was...that was the most memorable...I love it when I don't figure that outWhat about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?
I like her voice for female character but dislike the way she makes it for the male characters...it really is hard to listen to at firstDid you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It really surprised me who the killer was. I don't want to spoil anything for someone who has not read yet but the the scene with the main father and the son made me cry. I was also teary with one of the other fathers...don't want to spoil it so not going into detail.Any additional comments?
This is one of my favorites for this seriesGreat book

What made the experience of listening to Deadly Lies the most enjoyable?
It was a good romantic mystery, I did think I had figured it out but wasn't sure I was right until the very end. Strong characters, mysterious plot, and great hero and heroine. What did you like best about this story?
It kept me on the edge thru the entire story. What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Her voice was always shaky and breathy. The voices and accents were so bad and I couldn't tell if they were thinking or if they spoke, I really missed quotation marks in this one and think the book would have been the better choice.Good story, annoying narrator

Again, the reader was good. Sometimes, a narrator can make or break a book, but in this case, she did a good job of making the book as good as the author did.
Absolute Great Book

What did you love best about Deadly Lies?
The story - this whole series is very well written and interesting. Cynthia Eden keeps you on the edge of your seat with the plot. It is very cleverly written and hot, hot hot. What didn’t you like about Justine Eyre’s performance?
Terrible southern accents. I don't know why the narrator gives this whole team southern accents. I don't think any of them except maybe Luke Dante is supposed to be from the south. Between wanting the narrator to cough or clear her throat and her really, really bad southern accent - it was difficult at times not to be pulled out of the story.Any additional comments?
The story was really good enough to overcome the really bad narration - but it's too bad they didn't select a more skilled narrator. There is nothing worse than someone who is obviously not from the south trying to sound like they are :-)Terrific Series - Not So Terrific Narration
