About this listen

Eddie Hunter just wants to keep building his settlement, but somehow there's always something in the way. His good ties with Freyja have made him a target for one of the other AIs in the game. One of the other less savory AIs, who isn't too picky about how he expresses his displeasure.

On defense against the opponents being hurled at him, the support of his party and the other adventurers in the area is critical, and beyond his expectations. But even in the midst of the attacks he still manages to continue building, which is lucky since his current building project is the defensive walls of the castle he intends to create.

A delightful, easy listen, partly due to the lack of flaws we see in so many of this genre, LitRPG. No extreme sexism or violence. The focus on essential crafting is interesting. It's like eating candy, listening to this series.

Enjoyable LitRPG without common flaws in genre

I can't wait to see what comes next. I can guess what will happen but can't wait for the journey getting there.

A Very good Story and a welcome addition to the series. The characters have progressed well and the plot has certainly gotten more intriguing. I’m very connected with this storyline and can’t wait to see where it is going from here! The narration is excellent and keeps me immersed in the story which is the best compliment I have to give. Thank You and please send the next book as soon as possible.

This is a very pleasing series.

Another book for the series. How long will it last? Will the game be scrubbed for being a danger to humanity?

I liked it.

Awesome

Most of the book seemed to be tower defense. To me it felt like filler. I think the author was trying to focus on the non-virtual world characters, and needed content to support that aspect of the story.

This is the best series of books I’ve encountered in the years of reading and listening to this book type.

Listened at 1.3 speed
This book lacked what book 1 had. Some progression seems slow for book 4. Feels like the overall story is losing steam because some basic development buildings and other civil services are an after thought. MC just follows a quest script without any strategic planning
