About this listen

The kingdom is expanding! More land, more resources, and surprising new allies. Fibble gains some interesting stats, a new set of skills, and a patron deity of his own. Elysia is prospering.

But Alexander and his Elysians are forced to defend their lands against an invading orc horde from the north and the dark army of demons and undead that has escaped from the caverns where Alexander imprisoned them. At the same time, the Dark One is, somehow, still working with the drow wizards to subjugate more lands and expand their evil influence.

Join the Greystone Guild and their Elysians as they battle armies to defend their lands and their people. They fight for freedom and their very survival, facing a ruthless enemy bent on destroying the world. But is the cost too high for Alexander to endure?

Great Narration Saves a Weak Story

I was hoping eventually these “great” gamers would actually be great, given that they are randomly gifted every advantage under the sun, but it never happens. The game mechanics never shape up and it really just makes no sense. What do levels do? Why are we never spending attribute points? What happens when you do spend them? How does everything that touches the MC nearly kill him? Why is there a spell in the game that’s basically an insta kill? Why are we 70 levels in with 4 spells? Why can the devs not just track the bad guys back to the terrorist in a few minutes? Why does the MC not just constantly use liquefy/solidify earth to trap every single bad guy group? The drama of the fights only exists because the characters never learn and wait until they’re half dead to use the basic spells they used in every fight before this one.

I would prefer just the author just give into the already present overpowered MC trope and stop making these characters so insultingly dumb, and flesh out the game so that the levels actually have real meaning.

great extras

Absolutely love the little extra bits that get thrown in. like all the sound effects, laughing and crying. The voice acting as a whole is great. It all accumulates in being much more immersed. as far as the story goes, it would be nice for there to be real struggle. It seems like our hero has everything way to far under control and doesnt give the reader much suspense. Great series though! Cant wait to read more

Awesome

What a cool series. I love soundbooth theater they do such a great job on the characters and sound effects. This world is interesting and only slightly incredibly sad.

Dork Boy!

I am pleased to be back with one of my favorite litRPGs. Greystone Chronicles is such a great series; truly creative writing, wonderful characters, and it just gets better and better as time goes on. Elysia continues to expand and improve, just as Alexander. Alexander is now identified as Warrior King. So much has happened since the prior volume. The Dark One is still the major threat, not only to Elysia but the whole of IO Online as well. While investigating a new dungeon, Alexander came upon an Ancient One. A magical being older than the dragons, a being that helped create IO Online. The being, known as Geb, is the guardian of one of the Nodes of Power located throughout IO Online. Geb will have a positive impact on Elysia in general and Alexander specifically. The romance between Jules and Alexander is truly heart-warming. If anything happened to Jules, I would be physically upset. Such a great story and the performance by Sound Design is excellent.

Amazing

I love everything about the book! Well except for Jewels and her jealousness sometimes but that just made things kind of funny.
