About this listen

Sometimes temptation…

A hardened mercenary as adept in bed as in battle, Simon Quinn can have any woman he wants, but he prefers those who know the rules of the game. That way it’s easier to leave them behind.…

Can't be avoided.

But Lysette Rousseau is one female he can’t figure out. Beautiful, sensual, seductive, she should be the perfect match for Simon, yet something about her ties him in knots. Bold and manipulative one time, sweetly innocent the next, she is an enigma bound to bring trouble…impossible to resist.

Least liked in series.

Maybe it was the confusing names but I had a hard time following who was who on this one. Perhaps it would have been easier to read rather than listen to this book of the series but I found it very hard to keep up with the characters.

It wasn’t the best of the series but still worth the time of finding out who ended up with whom.

I think that Justine Eyre does an okay job, but it may have been easier to follow had the narrative been dual.

Loved entire series.

At first I did not think I would be able to get into story. Once I did I was thrilled! Very good reads.

Unexpected and lovely

I did not think I would be into Simon’s story from hearing a little about him and Maria in the previous book but boy was I wrong! I really loved this story and Simon. SD has got it and flaunts it all over the place with each and every novel she brings out.

Such Intrigue!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. When I read a romance novel I am usually disappointed if the romance takes a backseat but not so in this case. The romance was almost secondary to the many twists and turns regarding loves lost, espionage, and double agents. I think this is actually my favorite book out of the series. Maybe it's because I've loved Simon since book 1.

There were parts where there was almost too much going on and it made it a bit hard to keep the story lines straight and I would have actually liked to have had a bit more of Lysette and James. They were such a sweet story. Overall though I really enjoyed it.

It had needed closure. Great wrap up

It was not as hot as the other 3 but the story line was magnificent. And the few romantic encounters that did occur were super steamy. Day is one of the only writers that I have trouble putting down.

More Please

I wish there was more book in this series. In book four Simon Quinn finally falls in love with the twin sister of the spy Lysette Rousseau.

The narration is great and worth a credit.

I agree with Maha Bali's review

There was so much going on, too many characters, too many characters whose names sounded similar and too many French names that I couldn't keep straight. The story was so convoluted that it was difficult to track and by the end I found myself just waiting for it to be over. Sigh.
