Publisher's summary

In Eat Meat And Stop Jogging, Mike Sheridan uncovers everything's that's WRONG with our current understanding of nutrition and metabolism, diets and weight loss, and physical fitness and health."I know the diet plans, exercise and fitness books, and health and nutrition basics aren't working for you, because they're not working for anyone! The first step to rescuing your physical and mental health, is understanding WHY we’ve accepted certain fitness and nutrition myths as fitness and nutrition facts, and how that’s turned fat loss and disease prevention into a struggle." - Coach MikeInspired by personal practice, and supported by credible research, Eat Meat And Stop Jogging highlights the flaws in the prevailing advice to get fit, and illustrates the negative affect on our health and physique. With "Coach" Mike discussing the need for red meat, saturated fat and cholesterol in human nutrition, outlining the long-term consequences of losing weight via marathon training, plant based nutrition and extreme dieting, and helping the reader understand that most medical professionals, public health authorities, and fitness and wellness coaches, are ill-informed when it comes to the science of nutrition, exercise physiology, and what it takes to get fit, stay fit, and live with abundant health.

Excellent explanation!

The reasons to “Eat meat and stop jogging” are understandable, well-organized, and supported with research. This is life-changing and even life-saving information presented clearly so the average person can understand. I am eager to get his follow up book and would highly recommend this one to anyone interested in losing weight safely and successfully and/or just better health in general. Excellent narrator also—easy to follow and read clearly and at good pace.

Condensed knowledge - well done

As stated, this book is a very condensed of a variety of sources. Based on my previous forays into a variety of sources I can state that the knowledge in this book is legit. There is almost zero fluff in this book, it's captivating because it dooesn't waste your time by unnecessary jibber-jabber.
This is a brilliant starting point for any newbies to nutrition and fitness... and a good refresher for an oldie like me.

Excellent Advice for the perpetually overweight

This book is full of sound science and practical advice. It completely turns decades of received wisdom upside down and drop kicks it to the trash heap. The Ansel Keys fraud, along with other medical dogmas have been proven to be error, not by this author alone but by solid research by very sound medical experts.

Enjoy listening

Coming by my only question is what are my Sheridans credentials? There are so many different theories on what you showed and should not eat. It’s interesting to hear Mike’s point of view.

Good speaker easy to listen to, and the topic makes sense.

Good info

Great info, wish it was more geared toward losing weight and not what not to do. Narrator had a perfect voice for the job!
