The worst narration I've ever heard
I've never left a review for an audible book, but felt the need to warn anyone on the fence about this one. Buy the book! The narrator for this book made it nearly impossible for me to get through it. He is constantly adding his own two cents (saying "and back to the book!" when he's done) and half the time you can't tell if it is something Sisson has written in the book until it is too late. Combine that with constant mispronunciations and innumerable "uh"s and it makes it incredibly irritating to listen to. I've made it to chapter 8 and I'm not sure if I'm going to keep listening, because despite the excellent work by Mark Sisson, the narration is raising my cortisol levels to an unhealthy degree.
It's genuinely baffling how this made it through quality control to get published with this narration.

Wow!
This audiobook was very informative. It also reinforced what I always knew about workouts and recovery, but never followed because it went against conventional wisdom. I now have permission to do it without feeling guilty! I am eager and energized to give this life change a go and have confidence that it will serve me well.

Great Book, Terrible Narration
Mark Sisson has written a thoroughly researched book based on a surprisingly simple premise - humans should live how we used to. Approaching nutrition from an evolutionary perspective is both refreshing and compelling, and it has changed the way I think about not just food, but my lifestyle as a whole.
That being said, the narration is a sticking point for me. I appreciate Brad’s effort here, but his lack of experience with this type of work is evident. There are frequent cadence problems, incessant and unnecessary chuckling, and mispronunciations. Next time think about paying a professional narrator, or better yet, have Mark do it himself. I would have much preferred that.

This book gives the why, the how to and the way to help yourself without beating you up if you make mistakes getting started! It’s loaded with great info and fun to listen to! I’m glad I got this one! Will be listening again to embed this info in my brain!
