About this listen

The next installment in the Eagle Elite romance series from New York Times best-selling author Rachel Van Dyken.

He is a killer, a rapist, a monster and knows only pain and survival. That is until the capo's sister walks into his life and changes everything. She's a light who makes his darkness darker; her smile makes his heart turn to ice, and he can't escape the fear her seductive looks instill - knowing it's only a matter of time before he fails again and takes her for himself.

This is the story of his redemption. But it's not pretty, because he died and came to life again - breathing but not surviving. He is Phoenix De Lange, son of a murdered mob boss, estranged brother, horrible friend, monster in the making, newest leader of one of the most powerful families in the Cosa Nostra. And he will have his vengeance - or die trying. Death is all he knows - until she offers him a piece of life Phoenix can't resist taking.

Another great story in the EE mafia series. This is Phoenix’s story. He has been a monster in the past, doing unthinkable things until he should have died. He is now the head of one of the 5 families in addition to protecting Tex’s sister Bea. Phoenix ‘s sins are unforgivable but can he redeem himself? You also learn more about Sergio the secret he has been keeping. This was a great book that I couldn’t put down.

Great story

Phoenix has risen! his angst, his agony, his self - punishment! Phoenix is one of the most complex characters of all the elite eagle Alphas. Bee too is complex. she is kind and sensitive and beautiful. Surprisingly Phoenix and Bee have so much in common. now on to the next installment!

another great EE installment!

I got hooked on the series the first 2 in the series was great. The story continues with the Mafia family . It takes a delicately family storyline and how each character needs to learn how to balance their roles and not to forget who runs la familia .
This was my first time with the narrators. They were good . They brought the characters to life

Another continued in the series

I know I am in the minority, but I just did not like this story and really came down to my annoyance with Bee. She got on my last nerve, it was her neediness, but the stubborn to the point of stupid. I am only 1/2 through and I just feel she is TSTL. *spoiler - Phoenix is already been shot by her brother for kissing her, yet she keeps provoking her brother and then get all irate when the psychos act like psychos. Maybe the book is just too immature for me, this whole group of people just seem like idiots, but Bee has made this thing unlistenable, I'm a little pissed because I really wanted to like it.

I don't like it
