Publisher's summary

How could a loving God send people to hell? Will people have a chance after they die to believe in Jesus and go to heaven?

With a humble respect for God's word, Francis Chan and Preston Sprinkle address the deepest questions you have about eternal destiny. They've asked the same questions. Like you, sometimes they just don't want to believe in hell. But as they write, "We cannot afford to be wrong on this issue". This is not a book about who is saying what. It's a book about what God says. It's not a book about impersonal theological issues. It's a book about people who God loves. It's not a book about arguments, doctrine, or being right. It's a book about the character of God.

Erasing Hell will immerse you in the truth of Scripture as, together with the authors, you find not only the truth but the courage to live it out.

Frances presents the truth

The truth of the bible is presented in the form of facts with little option. Major questions were answered with scripture and there was a comprohensive flow the the presentation of the subject.

truth hurts

it makes me furious and drives me even further away from god and only adds to my despair

GREAT READ!

Really enjoyed hearing the truth. So often I find myself reading what I want to read instead of what God really said.

Dealing with a tough issue

The openness and honesty is this book had made me look again at some of my ideas and attitudes about God and eternal judgement. It's challenging and well worth investing the time to read it.

Hard Truths are Still True

Thank you for addressing the hard passages and for acknowledging that our discomfort or limited understanding does not provide a legitimate condemnation of a holy God

Shockingly Terrible

I appreciate this author as a speaker, not so much as an author. However, this book was important to me so i expected more. Truth is, for the most part this was a Sunday School Lesson/Rebuttal to Bell’s Book/Apologetic regarding Universalism/Slightly Self Incriminating - and clearly formula driven - book for the choir. Chan is capable of so much more - he was write in his urgency about the life and death importance of this topic, but truly, by the end of the introduction i wanted to send it back and say…..bro, try again. I have heard this same sermon 100 times. Hope he at least made some royalties or something.

Not that helpful for me

I appreciate the effort, but I would say this book is more prone to leave those under grace with fear that they might miss the mark and end up in hell than help those under law realize they need Jesus.
