About this listen

When 17-year-old Paige Townsen gets plucked from obscurity to star in the movie adaptation of a blockbuster book series, her life changes practically overnight. Within a month, Paige has traded the quiet streets of her hometown for a bustling movie set on the shores of Maui, and she is spending quality time with her costar Rainer Devon, one of People's Sexiest Men Alive. But when troubled star Jordan Wilder lands the role of the other point in the movie's famous love triangle, Paige's crazy new life begins to resemble her character's.

In this coming-of-age romance inspired by the kind of celeb hookups that get clever nicknames and a million page views, Paige must figure out who she is - and who she wants - while the whole world watches.

It's a light, fun read.

I decided to read/listen to this book after watching the TV show, Famous In Love. I'm a big Bella Thorne fan. I loved the tv show. However, I was really disappointed that the TV show ended abruptly without an ending. So I figured I'd read the books and see if I got a decent ending out of them. Although it's surprising how different the book and the TV show are, I feel like they still have the same essence. The heart of the characters and story are still there. It's a fascinating concept to watch Paige shoot to stardom and go along the journey with her. Overall, I enjoyed the book. The only reason I held back a star is because I felt like Paige and Jordan's relationship could've been written better. I found their little romance juvenile and hard to believe. Their conversations were two demensional and immature compared to the interactions between Rainer and Paige. Maybe it's because I myself don't find the bad boy, strong but silent type, remotely appealing. Maybe the writer did too good a job writing Rainer that it made Jordan feel flat. Maybe I'm just team Rainer, and I don't get why Paige would even think twice about choosing him over Jordan. whatever it is, I just found myself rolling my eyes at the Jordan scenes. I think Paige had her head turned by him way too easily. This made her seem immature and flaky. Granted, she is only seventeen, and she's dealing with a lot of firsts, so it's somewhat understandable. But I stopped liking Paige at this point because the love triangle didn't feel deserved. The chemistry between her and Jordan felt forced. The other aspects of the story, her family life, her friendships, life on set, and her personal growth, I thought were well done. The ending is good. I just felt that Paige's reasons for choosing who she does weren't satisfying. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this book. It's a light, fun read.

Really??? All that for such a stupid ending.

Was a huge waste of time. Don't buy. Male's voices were also terrible. Very Disappointed.
