About this listen

No clothes. No memories. Dangerous monsters all around.

I woke up with four beautiful women in a post-apocalyptic world where nothing is as it should be.

We have no idea what happened, and there isn’t anyone around to ask.

So what do we do? We fight the monsters. We forage for food, water, and shelter.

We make our lives as enjoyable as we can....

start

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review, it's a fun start to a post apocalyptic world. it reminds me of one of my favorite anime, High School Of The Dead, fun progression with spice and the tiniest bit of base building.

Danny Kade has impressed me with every book published so far and this one is no exception! I eagerly look forward to the next to come out, be it a continuation of this or one of the other series!

Fight monsters & nasty men, but enjoy each other!

As required by U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations and Audible requirements, I am disclosing that I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request. I have listened to the audiobook, and I have voluntarily left an honest review. Receiving a review copy did not influence my rating nor my review.

Post-apocalyptic stories are all the rage in haremlit these days, and “Foragers” is a very entertaining and enjoyable addition to this trope! And yes, that’s the same sentence I used for another recent review; post-apoc really is a popular trope!

As is usual, our MC (nicknamed “Zeus” by one of four women who awake in a lab with him, due to his godlike body!) awakes with little memory of who he is, with a body with enhanced strength and healing abilities.

Clues and vague memories lead the MC’s to believe they were volunteers in an experiment, but that external disasters (solar flares, a plague, and monster mutation caused by the virus against the plague) impacted the experiment. Awake now six years later, they find they must survive the monsters (breeding is optional), and if not descend, they must at least ascend apartment complexes to forage, and survive win a world without law. And yep, that’s three clues in one sentence about three different terrific haremlit series that this story reminded me of very much!

The four women each have distinct personalities, and mutual yet individual levels of desire to act on their attractions to Zeus, and to each other! While memories have been lost, everyone has vague awarenesses of likes and dislikes, for everything to how they like their coffee, liking beer vs. wine, and liking sex with multiple participants or with others watching!

Monsters come in many forms; mutated dogs, bats and even a t-rex style lizard….and monstrous human men who want the four women. Narration is terrific, and I look forward to another episode of “Foragers”!

Good beginning

Loved the post apocalyptic setting and cool monsters and the whole unknown background of the main characters the narration was a little to robotic for me though but the story was really good.

Great start

This is a pretty good book. A lot of action. Waking up without an idea of what’s going on, with some naked hotties doesn’t sound so bad…right?
The narrators did an amazing job.

I received a free copy to leave an unbiased review. This was a fun and interesting story with a few twists from the common post apocalypse genere.

Check this one out

Right up front before you read any further just know that I recommend this book to anybody thinking about giving it a shot. A little context for my review. I tend to take it easy on the first and last book of any series as not every series makes it to “The End” and the first of anything can be a shaky endeavor. I also try to make clear the distinction between the quality of the writing/performance of the author/narrator and my personal tastes should they differ. The primary question I'm always looking to answer is whether or not I was entertained by the story and for this book the answer was yes. Our character awakens in some sort of gelatinous goo with nothing else on only to find himself shortly in a fight with some sort of dog monster. He could have run but there are 3 ladies who have awakened in a similar state. Nobody really knows what's going on or anything about themselves. Not even their names, thus the names they choose to take are more descriptive. Any of the other inhabitants within the lab tend to be dead humans or monsters. It's approximately Chapter 7 before they finally fight their way out of the lab upon which they discover this post apocalyptic world that they're now in. I don't want to go any farther than that as I don't want to risk spoiling anything for anyone, especially since currently there's only one book out. The author appears to still be relatively new. Sometimes we're lucky enough to have an author stagger the eBook and audio releases but since the sequel to this book isn't out yet I'd like to recommend you check out his series called “Beyond Superpowered.” Moving on to the narration team, they're relatively new as well. I think they did a fantastic job with their performance here in this book. If like me you enjoyed their performance, then I’d like to recommend you check out another of their performances in “Empyrean Chronicles.” Lastly, I'll just say well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us, the Audible listeners.
