About this listen

Eric - part-time king, quasi-avatar, and unconventional wizard - has an epic quest before him.

He must return to his lost kingdom to save it, slay a creature claiming to be a god, and navigate the terrible risks of a paradox that could undo everything!

And to top it off, he's trying to raise a daughter.

Nobody said being a vampire was going to be easy, but none of this was in the brochure!

Hi

I don’t like how he treats His daughter he’s too protective and is pretty much telling her she can do whatever she wants and it sounds like he wouldn’t care if she was a criminal or a tyrant. He spoiled her too much. Very little is happening in this book and I hate her no killing thing she’s probably gonna die. I hate how lazy he is and nothings exciting really exciting is happening. He never really explains why she should not do this or that he just lets her do whatever she wants. I wish he change A bit I wish he’s confidant not lazy and less self loathing he just seems like a disappointment. He seems like he does not care about anything except his daughter and a few friends and he seem’s arrogant and he does not seem smart sometimes and why in this book does he seem like a wizard instead of at night Lord. I think the book kind of went downhill because of his daughter he’s less killing bad people and just seems like a lazy person. In the next book could you at least make him more confident in him self and less depressed and not lazy and make him into something different instead of a depressed vampire. all the other books were exciting but this one was bad I wish he would go out and find trouble instead of pointing out he could die and such of course he can and all the things he does he can die from. I wish he has an adventurous side to him I liked Mary she makes him go on exciting adventures. it just seems like he’s not really doing anything in this book. I just want him to act like a night lord it seems like this book was not finished when it was published. I don’t like how he thinks, he thinks because he cause’s trouble that he should do nothing at all go be a hermit. I don’t like this him right now I hate his daughter it made the book boring it was a good book but it would be better without the daughter he barely interact with anyone only those he knows instead of making new friends. Please I’m begging you make the next book better because this one was not that great it was good and bad at the same time. I know making a book is hard and all but at least make the next book exciting or better and the book was too focused on his daughter.

Good book but really 100% filler

Good book but really 100% throw away filler until the real action starts. 40 hours of rambling side-story.

Excellent Series

I love this series. Eric and Phoebe have a wonderful relationship and it’s nice to see our resident chaos infestation finally got some
Downtime to decompress from all the earlier stresses in the series.

My only issue would be that there never seems to be any real resolutions to the issues he has by the end of each book, but even then most of that can be explained away as Immortality Problems.

I am eagerly awaiting the next one as always. Excellent job overall and I hope y’all enjoy this book as much as I did.

I like it but

But where’s the Slaughter!?!?!?! Don’t get me wrong there were some. But compared to the other books little slaughter. That’s to say there was plenty of quality and evolution of the character and his people. Garon next book level him up!!!! And please please I enjoyed the little scene where he meets other creatures from another world. But on Feabies world there are vamps and warewolves. We the fans want see major interaction with them. Power wise how do these creatures stack up against him and how do they perceive him. Do they ignore him out of fear or just don’t sense him. And if so is there something in there brain that tells them not to F$&$ with him? In the last books everywhere he went, he couldn’t help but notice that everyone and everything wanted he’s attention. The magic guys just knocked on he’s door. The vamps got really really interested in him. Werewolves are mentioned here and there and are noted but not expanded upon. Which is ok. Garon doesn’t want to expand in that branch of this story tree. Which is cool. After some books though a lot of people get tired of listening to just an adventure sequence book. But what hooked me in this character was he’s overwhelming sense of Wrathful Vengeance. “Don’t mistake my kindness for weakness” lines to open up a book. Oh man they give you chills and you KNOW what type of book your gonna read. I’ve reread that book so many times that audible has given me Badges. But I read it because there’s a beginning middle and satisfying end to he’s wrath. And you can’t help but be on Eriks side. Garon let him wear the Iron Crown here and there. At least let us see it once in awhile. But of course to a gage of he’s power. Compared to other creatures. It would be so amazing to get like a Farys King or Queen and make them KNEEl in fear even before a strike is landed. And also Garon MONEY. In Feabies world how much is he worth??? Is rich or Richy rich rich you know. If politicians we’re to ask him to a banquet ball would he be seating all the way on the back??? Or all the way in the front. He doesn’t like to be the center of attention true but if his donations are going to a good place why not make him do a speech. It enhances his name in the community. Why would he do it? For Feabie. If she wants to attend this world make her want to be in the political field or the Police field. He’s rich dad will donate if you invite him. Make her a senator or head of police. FBI even. With the AI it will pass inspection. Just thoughts Garon. I’m sure you get them all the time. Long time Listener and fan. Book worth reading for sure. Closes a chapter to open up another in he’s life. And maybe even a new nemesis. But We’ll see in the next book.
