About this listen

A half-birthday + a second chance = one true love? As. If.

Who needs a man when I've got cuddly kittens?

No one's ever wanted me once they discover my secret. I guess that's why I've thrown myself into my work as a veterinarian, as well as become the proud paw-rent to my eight cat rescues. I've even managed to convince myself I'm purr-fectly happy being single.

So when Bishop, a handsome stranger, strikes up a conversation, I don't expect it to lead to anything else. There's no way a guy wanting to start over is interested in love. So why has Bishop got me wishing for something more?

Contains mature themes.

Great Wishing

Fulton is a person who doesn’t expect much for himself. Bishop is trying to restart his life. I like the way that these two click. I also like how there to support each other. There isn’t a great amount of angst which make a great relaxing listen.

It's okay. Cute, simple, & enjoyable

4 stars

Overall, a cute and enjoyable read. I was excited for Fulton's story, but ultimately, it didn't serve as much as I had hoped. That said, this is still a great book. Fulton and Bishop are adorable together. They both have such an understanding for each other, and they are both so patient with the other's struggles. They are somewhat layered characters, which definitely helps. I absolutely adore the fact that Fulton is such a crazy cat lover. It's just so sweet. And when you learn where it comes from, it just hits hard in the feels. I love the found family at Vet Shop Boys, which is why I will continue with this series. Our sweet Gus needs his well-deserved HEA.

Loser

This book was a mistake! This is a poor gay story which what made the LGB community a feminist problem !! This would have been okay in the 1920s. But not in 2024. Let’s get real . The reader did an incredible job to keep this book going , well half way only
