Such an enjoyable read!
This little book is absolutely delightful.
I have never been to Edmonton, but now that I’ve heard this audiobook, I’m definitely going to visit. The author demonstrates shows off his extensive knowledge of the locale and his superior story-telling skills. I didn’t expect to get flight information - that was a nice surprise. I am a museum lover so I am looking forward to visiting the Royal Alberta Museum. A helicopter tour of this City of Champions will be on the cards too. A fascinating guide indeed.

Prioritize yourself
The postpartum period involves your moving through many changes, both emotionally and physically. You are also learning how to deal with all the changes needed with becoming a new mother. The postpartum period also involves you and your partner learning how to care for your newborn and learning how to function as a changed family unit. You need to take good care of yourself to rebuild your strength. You will need plenty of rest, good nutrition, and help during the first few weeks. This book helps you figure it all out. It helps you define what self-care looks like in that season so that you can fill your cup before you fill other people's.

Every mama should listen!
As a new mama this book was incredibly helpful for my postpartum recovery. I found some surprising gems that informed about much more than just the physical recovery. Physical care is important, don’t get me wrong, but I think every mom would agree that giving birth and postpartum is a radical transformation of mind, body and spirit.
I appreciated that Robyn didn’t shy away from speaking about the mother wound and how to lovingly address it with care and grace.
She also spoke gently to topics that women might find embarrassing or are afraid to talk about.
I felt reassured when she addressed how relationships can get challenged during this delicate time and she gave helpful practical tips for how to navigate this.
Overall, this is an excellent book and I would highly recommend it to all new moms on their postpartum journey. Thank you

This postpartum book truly covers it all!
"Happy Mama Postpartum Self-Care" is a incredibly comprehensive, one-stop shop that will teach every new mama how to not to just survive the postpartum period, but to effectively thrive during that time. When I say it covers it all, it really leaves no stones unturned. From reflecting on your pregnancy journey, to leaning and implementing self-care techniques, baby bonding tips, effective communication with your partner, fitness and diet tips, you can see that this guide has everything a new mama would need. The narration was great and it was easy to listen to and digest. There are key elements and interactive sections in each chapter that make this book very engaging. Highly recommend for all new moms!

I feel seen and heard!
I have two beautiful children. My first birth was great, had no issues, and bounced right back. My second child is just the opposite. My hormones had been all over the place and there was no change after I gave birth. I felt lost, overwhelmed, sad, tired, wired, alone and so much more. I constantly had anxiety and was doubting all of my abilities as a mom even though this was not my first baby. I wish I would have had a book like this after my second was born. I felt like I was doing so much wrong because everyone was telling me it'll be fine, you'll shake it off, just need to find your groove of things, get a schedule, sleep when the baby sleeps, etc. I think I just wanted to be everything at every time and everywhere. That was difficult because my first child needed attention but was a little older and could help themselves but then my second born needed me and obviously could not take care of themselves. I finally had to ask my husband for help. I felt like a failure. In this book, the chapter on setting realistic personal and family goals gave me a new perspective that it was okay to ask for help. It was okay to scale back and realize I didn't have to do everything on my own.
This book should be a must-listen for all new moms because life is about to get crazy busy but you have to realize to take care of yourself or else you are of no use to anyone else and your new baby needs you. It's not your fault that your hormones are everywhere. Your body just went through a huge transformation and you need to give yourself time to heal and recover. Great gift for anyone you know having a baby so that you can ensure they are well aware of that they must also take care of themselves.

Simply incredibile!
Midwife Robyn Weller does a wonderful job of captivating the postpartum experience in her book. The narration provides such warmth which also makes her words very absorbable. The first 12 weeks is all about absorbing the mother-baby bond and learning your newborn, and this book provides a way to effortlessly immerse yourself into that journey. Plenty of education and knowledge for new moms and experienced moms! A must read!
