About this listen

Stephen Fry brings the richness of these magical stories to life in the original British recordings, available for the first time in the United States and Canada.

'There will be three tasks, spaced throughout the school year, and they will test the champions in many different ways ... their magical prowess - their daring - their powers of deduction - and, of course, their ability to cope with danger.'

Treat your ears to a performance so rich and captivating you'll imagine yourself in the halls of Hogwarts. Wherever you listen, the unmistakable voice of Stephen Fry is guaranteed to guide you ever more deeply into this magical story and transport you to the heart of the adventure.

The Triwizard Tournament is to be held at Hogwarts. Only wizards who are over seventeen are allowed to enter - but that doesn't stop Harry dreaming that he will win the competition. Then at Hallowe'en, when the Goblet of Fire makes its selection, Harry is amazed to find his name is one of those that the magical cup picks out. He will face death-defying tasks, dragons and Dark wizards, but with the help of his best friends, Ron and Hermione, he might just make it through - alive!

Theme music composed by James Hannigan.

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

Loved the story and the narration. I’ve read the series, but Stephen Fry makes it come to life.

The books (of course) are better than the movies; however, this one is so outstandingly better that you are doing yourself a disservice by watching instead of reading. Fry is the perfect narrator and does the outstanding job we expect from him here.

Outstanding!

As you’d expect if you’re a HP fan this was a great book like the rest in the series.

Stephen Fry's narration is seriously the greatest for these books. They were really hard to find for a while so I'm so pleased they're here now

Stephen Fry is the best for these

I used to listen to audiobooks recorded in a slow and monotone delivery to help me fall asleep. I grew weary of the bot sounding voice and tried this Harry Potter series instead, assuming that having read the US versions of the books so often that I’d be bored to sleep as intended. I was very wrong. I enjoy this series so much that I find myself spending long stretches listening in the middle of the night, I listen when at work in my studio instead of music, and also when I am driving. I tried samples of the Harry Potter books read with an American accident. Big fat “no!” on that. The voice of Hagrid is especially good, some others not great, but I don’t care. I’m getting all of the books voiced by Fry. Great find!

Too good to fall asleep listening
