About this listen

A runaway TikTok sensation, Heavenly Bodies is the first book in a dazzling new romantasy series that blends mythology and shadow magic with a tantalizing enemies-to-lovers romance that will rewrite the stars.

“You know the most dangerous kind of villain? A woman with nothing left to lose.”

In a world ruled by the cruel and merciless Stars, Elara has been cursed by fate. A prophecy promises she will fall for a Star, but that it will kill them both.

So when Ariete, Star of Wrath, War and Chaos, descends to wreak havoc on Elara’s kingdom, she flees her home—the Kingdom of Night—for the neighbouring Helios, Kingdom of Light.

And strides straight into the arms of an enemy prince.

Fearing that Ariete might turn his sights to Helios next, Prince Lorenzo is forced to train Elara as a weapon—one worthy of battling against the tyrannical reign of the Stars. But there are shadows even within the Kingdom of Light—and they threaten to reveal the darkness in Lorenzo’s past and the ancient magic that slumbers in Elara’s veins.

And with it all comes an undeniable, star-crossed pull between Elara and Lorenzo that neither can seem to resist...

I am starting dazzled

I saw this at a bookstore and was instantly interested. For the past little bit I have been listening to it. The performer was very good and managed to keep her voices distinct and the same every scene. The story was only helped to be brought alive with Erriu's talented descriptions. These also were not too long, nor too short. Finding just the right balance. I can't wait for the sequel!

All the feels

I love that this book kept me guessing! At times I was infuriated, annoyed, sad, & overjoyed. The performance was fantastic. Her voices, intonation, and pace were wonderful. Great read!

Heartbreakingly beautiful

I haven’t truly enjoyed a book in awhile, taking my time to read it and this one I’m glad I didn’t devour just in a few days. I thoroughly enjoyed it :)

Romantasy with a side of romance (and a little fantasy)

I begrudgingly rate this 3 stars. I'm hesitant to rate this because I'm usually not a fan of fantasy romance where the romantic relationship is the main focus. I realized that this was THAT book about 2 chapters in, but I continued because I got hooked!

If Romantacy - heavy on the romance - is your jam then this one's for you! If you like your romantacy to mainly focus on the romantic relationship with some action and a little magic on the side then you'll probably rate this higher than I did.

Although I did find myself annoyed by the FMCs overreacting, whining, indecision, and the MMCs uber cliche "asshole- at-first-but-he's- hot-and-then he-trauma- dumps-and-OMG- He's- sensitive- and-a-secret-artist" personality, there was just something that hit me in the feels nonetheless.

Must be that hopeless romantic b*tch in my brain sticking around to see if we'll get the type of happy ending that only lives in books. Yay books!!!
