About this listen

Surviving, having survived, comes with a body count.

Jonathon Hunter has evoked the wrath of 27th-century pirates. With his sexy twin bodyguards, Jonathon seeks to come to grips with station life in a suddenly hostile universe.

Celebrity, gratitude, sudden attacks, and a mysterious prophecy are more than most 18-year-olds can handle. A reluctant hero, Jonathon is on a journey, seemingly out of his time, but always in time.

Meet Jon Hunter as he starts a two-year journey to prophecy, with his AI sidekick and mostly female mercenary team.

This is a rollicking coming-of-age story of life in space, fighter- and ground-combat action, and surviving the consequences of surviving.

It’s a fun book meant to distract you from the real world for a little while. Right on target.

Wish I was a space captain!

Johnathon is a 16 yr old (18yrs in Earth yrs) who is traveling with his uncle on supply runs. They come out of a jump and end up in the middle of a pirate raid. The ship takes a lot of damage where the uncle is killed and Johnathon is injured badly. Still hanging on even with the injuries he disables the pirate shop killing the pilot. Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline

I Heck of a Good Start to this Series

I picked this one up somewhat on accident. I generally like books that are a little longer but was surprised how much I enjoyed listening to this book. The main character is a bit overpowered so if you are looking for realism is one probably won't work for you. I enjoy the combat scenes but but definitely didn't look to deeply here. Again I think it is a good start for the series and will listen to the rest.

Entertaining

As a long time fan I was excited to hear about the series becoming an audiobook. Now that its hear I am not disappointed. The narrator is great and really bought the characters to life. Of course the story is awesome I can't wait till the next one.

This review is for the whole series..... So much fun! even if it is an old geeks teen fan- boy fantasy with everything from 1960's sci fi and games to transformers and lord of the rings to meditation and the kitchen sink thrown in. Teens wont get the old computer and game stuff but will love the almost all girl army. and dont forget the cat. The story is full of holes and I don't Care! I love the carictures and enjoyed seeing Jon come out on top and build his fantasy world. Wouldnt I love to do something like that. So who cares if it isnt realistic. THe Narrator is good. Its fun. Its entertainining. it makes me smile and I will buy every one of the series. but please make them longer....I'm poor.
My only complaint is the books are too short!!!!!

A Sci-fi Geeks fantasy- and I love it anyway!
