About this listen

Part One of the New Three-Part Godmothers Serial!

The best of friends, Toots, Ida, Mavis, and Sophie have been there for each other through thick and thin. Now Sophie needs the rest of the Godmothers to help her through something they've never faced before....

As Sophie De Luca has learned, many things really are better the second time around. She's celebrating a wonderful year of marriage to her sweet second husband, Goebel. Meanwhile, the rekindled bond between Sophie and her childhood friends Toots, Ida, and Mavis is stronger and more supportive than it's ever been. All four are happily settled outside of Charleston, and Toots, who'd sworn to never marry again after eight trips down the aisle, is so blissfully content with her beau that she might be ready for lucky number nine...with a little coaxing.

Yet ever since she and Goebel moved into their new home, Sophie has sensed something a little...unusual. Old houses often contain items left behind from previous owners, but what remains in this case is the legacy of a painful secret that only Sophie's unique gift can uncover. It's a special kind of challenge...and who better than three extraordinary friends to help her do it?

Part 1 of 3. Not enough content and really short. Interesting but what is divided into 3 books should have been one

1 of 3 should be 1 of 1

I mean as usual by fern Michael's. Such a great group of characters and a real cliff hanger.

cliff hanger

this book held my interest but I thought I bought a total story not a tease to another book. have to evaluate in my mind if it's worth buying another book to find out what actually happened. very unhappy this book did not have an ending... or even come close.

psychic stories are not my normal choice

I was left hangars to what is happening next. If you never read Ferns books you wouldn’t know to get the next one

Left hanging

While I enjoy these godmother stories, this one was left undone. Also the fact that you don't know yet what the problem is feels frustrating. However, as usual I live the characters.

disappointed

very good story line but stops at most important part.. way to short of book... not a cliff hanger..just stops..ugh

too short

Love these stories, Fern Michaels does such a great job with the characters of these series. Once I start the book it is so hard to put it down.

She did it again!

I wouldn’t even consider this a story. Most stories have an ending, and this one had no ending. It felt more like the sample you get of a book. It had absolutely no closure to the story or any of the storylines. Very disappointing.

Short Story?

It took a minute to figure out what was happening, then the story became predictable. The accent was distracting. The story just ends with no conclusion. I almost started to like the characters but all the extemporaneous detail weighed the story down and I just wanted it to end.

just ok

I have enjoyed the Sisterhood series by this author, so thought I'd give this short story a try. There is no resolution of the plot at the end. I couldn't believe that it was over! I guess there is probably a full length book to follow, but I won't be buying it. Waste of 3 hours.

A fairly OK story with NO ENDING!
