Publisher's summary

Marquess Gulliver, Seth Mowbray, lacks a family of his own. When he is not keeping company with his close friends, the duke and duchess of Selkirk, he drowns his loneliness by indulging in the more wicked things life has to offer.

Lady Constantine Hartley cannot seem to follow the rules of society. What's more, the pressure of it all has ruined her fun. So, why bother? This season, she is determined to ignore the rules and enjoy herself.

After a chance meeting, Seth finds himself captivated by the hellion. Likewise, Constantine finds herself enthralled by the marquess.

Can two societal outcasts overcome the odds and capture true love?

Sweet Historical Romance with Spice

3.75/5

After an unfortunate first season, Lady Constantine Hartley has resigned herself to spinsterhood, or a reclusive life with a country husband. Marquess Gulliver, Seth Mowbray is a known rogue who feels an inevitable attraction towards the unrefined Lady.

This is a short sweet historical romance with plenty of spice. I was instantly charmed by Seth and his caring and considerate nature. I also liked Constantine, though she often felt like a stereotypical simple country girl. I really appreciated how supportive Lady Celia was of her friend, and would love to see more of her story. Overall I quite enjoyed my time spent with this story.

Lady Disaster and Lord Disgraceful

This is a sweet, charming, and very enjoyable short Regency romance listen about two outcasts from the Ton. Lady Constantine was raised in the country after her mother died when she was seven years old, so she lacks the grace and poise expected of a well-born lady. Marquess Gulliver, Seth Mowbray has his own past and reputation, and is a well-known rake among the ton. There is more to both individuals than meets the eye. Can they cast off society's expectations to find a HEA together? I loved this story. Although it is relatively short at 3 hours, the characters and story were well-developed and complete. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quick romantic escape.

The narration was perfect and relaxing. It suited the characters and the story. I believe there were one or two repeated lines, but nothing egregious to detract from the story.

Constantine and Seth

This is a sweet and clean romance. A lot of information is provided in the beginning, which helps with a shorter story. I did not feel the story was rushed or missing anything. If flushed out, it would make a good full-length novel. It was an enjoyable story to listen to. Constantine is a bit of a social disaster. Seth is a rake, from a dysfunctional family that does not show love and emotional attachments. Narration was good. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review

Sweet Regency Romance!

This is the second novella in A Rogue's Kiss Series, a Regency Romance. Seth and Constantine's story is entertaining, funny, and engaging, filled with miscommunication, and romance. Seth, a rake, aka lord disgraceful, is handsome, and supportive. I liked his determination. Constantine, aka lady disaster, is beautiful, smart, and strong. They are opposites attract, and they complement each other. The supporting characters are interesting. This is a great clean Regency Romance. Looking forward to more in the series. Anne Marie Damman did a great job bringing this story to life. She has a beautiful voice. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Lady Disaster and the Rake

Lady Constantine is socially award.  Since her mother’s death, she and her father has lived quietly in the country.  Her first season was embarrassing.  Her missteps with society’s rules and her clumsiness earned her the moniker Lady Disaster.  Lord Gulliver is a rake.  He doesn’t look for or expect love.  He has never had any from anyone.  When Seth and Constantine meet at a house party, there is a definite connection, but will it lead to more?  This is a charming story with great characters, a little drama, a spicy romance, and a wonderfully happy ending.  Great narration by Anne Marie Dammon.

Her Perfect (Reforming) Rake

While I can sometimes be a little critical of some of this author's early work (and she has improved over time!), I absolutely adored the hero in this book, with no complaints or qualifications of any sort. He is one of those rakes whom the heroine, through no actions of her own, causes to reconsider his past and imagine a new future as a faithful married man. He's so besotted with her right away, even though she is a bit of an odd duck and somewhat disaster-prone, that he absolutely, utterly charmed me. She's an unusual miss—though not so unusual, given how Regency heroines are written these days—in that not only does she not want to marry (as she can't imagine leaving her widowed father to his own devices), but she decides that since she will not marry, she will become the hero's mistress instead! What will this reforming, now-marriage-minded rake think about that? The heroine, certainly, at times, was quite nonsensical, which was annoying. I liked her level-headed friends, their relations, and her aunt (and eventually her father. I felt a bit sorry for the hero at the end until things came to rights, as they must do in any book deserving the romance title. This is a relatively quick listen (or read), so even the annoyances are over with quickly. The hero himself is worth listening to (or reading) this story for.

captivating love

Lady Constantine had not been out in the society for awhile since her mother's death. During the season she was with her aunt, she met Marquess Gulliver. Both started to fall for each other but Lady Constantine had reservations.

This was a love (but steamy story ) of two, who seems to be society outcasts. Love the characters especially the caring Lady Constantine. and you will fall in love with the deep Love of the Marquess.

Read and enjoy such a captivating love. (NOTE has steamy scenes and thus for mature readers only).

Great Addition to the Series

This second installment of the series kept my attention thanks to the endearing characters. The narrator did a great job of bringing the characters to life and kept my attention from beginning to end.
