Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 Engaging & Moving!

Nikki Ash does it again and pens another winning novel, the second in her amazing “Love & Whiskey” series and I loved everything about it, from her wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. This story not only captivated my attention the entire time, but it tugged at my heartstrings too. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they were likable and easy to root for too. Kira Adams left her abusive husband with her daughter, Violet, and maybe luck is turning around for her when she lands a childcare job at Kingston Limited. Ryder Du Ponte, a single dad, works from home as much as possible, but when he goes into the office, he brings his daughter Addie with him, leaving her with the childcare service provided by Kingston Limited. He was very protective of his daughter and was not expecting a new employee, but she eased his mistrust of her right away and was great with his daughter. When he finds out what her living situation was, he stepped up and offered her a job as a live-in nanny and Violet was welcome, too. It was great to watch these two get to know each other, learn more about them and to see their relationship morph into something more. I thought they were great together and for each other and the chemistry between them was smoking hot. I loved all the layers of the story and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. The character growth and development is incredible, as is the world building. Nikki Ash, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Gregory Salinas and Heather Costa did an amazing job portraying the characters and did so with a complete understanding of who they were, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role. Salinas nailed it as Ryder, showcasing every side of his personality, from his protective and caring side to his take no prisoners side. Costa was just as fabulous in her role as Kira, also showcasing all aspects of her personality, from her vulnerabilities and worries to her strength and fierceness. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These two are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. They made a great team and were a pleasure to listen to.

Billionaire x Nanny? Yes, please.

4/5⭐️ 2.5/5🌶️ 5/5🎧
This was such a touching story about two single parents learning to trust again and keep their children, as well as their hearts, safe. Ryder has been a single father to Addie ever since her mother walked out in exchange for money. Kira has been a single mother pretty much since Violet was born. When Kira struggles to find a job and start over, she is miraculously in the right place at the right time, overhearing someone talking about needing a childcare provider position filled with no luck. Well, it just so happens that Kira has a degree in early childhood education, so she puts herself out there and takes a chance by talking to the woman. But even though Kira got the job she needed, she was still struggling. Ryder finds her with her daughter in quite a sad predicament, and he bites the bullet and tells Kira he can’t allow her to stay under the conditions she was in and moves her into his home to be his nanny. Violet and Addie become so close throughout their time living together, and they don’t understand why they don’t have one of the other parents when other kids do. And seeing Kira care for Addie in a way no other woman has even had the chance to, draws Ryder in like a mother to a flame. With every day that passes that he sees the love and compassion Kira has, he falls just a little more for her. Can these two put their ugly pasts behind them and move forward together? Or will their bitterness and fear always haunt them, keeping them in a limbo from being happy? This is definitely worth the read to find out.

Gregory Salinas and Heather Costa performed so well in this audiobook. I felt every part of this story. It was incredible!

Hooked On These Two

4 ⭐ 2 🌶 5 🎧

I'm loving this series so much. Kiera and Ryder's story was so sweet and funny, with a side of suspense. I loved the third act (no break up!) and only wish we got to see the villain go down like this was a dark romance 😂

I think my favorite part was the found family and blended family aspects. Violet and Addie were so dang sweet and I loved the love Kiera and Ryder had for their non-bio kids.

The audio was fantastic. I absolutely love both Gregory Salinas and Heather Costa and they both did such wonderful jobs with these characters. As always, Pink Flamingo did a top notch production too.

Great read

I so enjoyed this book. Just a little annoyed at certain part lol. For real, she’s so cautious of herself meanwhile she’s telling all her secrets to someone she doesn’t really know. How ignorant can one be?? I love their relationship together and enjoyed their stories.

Billionaire Single Dad meets struggling Single Mom

Ryder’s wife decided that she wanted money and trips instead of even a wife and mother. Now as a single dad, Ryder makes sure his priority is his daughter. Lucky for him, his company had childcare at the property so he can be around his daughter at all times.

Kira is a single mom who escaped an abusive relationship. Now in the small town in Texas, she needs a job. She was able to be the new childcare teacher at a business that includes insurance. Living out of her SUV and trying to save for an apartment.

Ryder spots her living in her car and he offers her and her daughter to stay with him for the evening. Once he realizes she’s homeless, he offers a live in nanny position. Over time, Kira feels comfortable with Ryder and Ryder feels open enough to allow her in.
