About this listen

I fell in love with Carter James Callahan’s smart-mouthed smirk long before it was labeled “The Sexiest Smile in Hollywood.” I also fell for his broad, muscular shoulders, his impossibly blue eyes, his… Nope! Not going there anymore. Because while Carter may frequent my dreams every night, I will only ever frequent his friend zone, which is why I’m on an official mission to rid myself of my pesky feelings for him.

I’m gonna put myself out there, start dating, and stop hopelessly crushing on my best friend. Deep down, I know this is for the best. It would never work between us: I’m a single mom with an impressive collection of stained sweatpants; he’s a serial-dating celeb heartthrob who never wants to be tied down to anything or anyone.

So when the media breaks a story that Carter is getting married, nobody is more shocked than I am. Especially when I click on the article and see that his mysterious fiancée is… me?!

Love the Donavan’s!

Now after enjoying both books so much I find myself bummed there isn’t another one for me to read!! Very much enjoyed this sequel and love its characters.

cute story, had the potential to be a great story but instead of developing the whole cast the author started just spinning her wheels kinda got preachy

Great sequel! Love the Donovans!

I get to be the first to review! Yay! I loved this audiobook. It has been showing up in recommended on Kindle but I was holding out for the audio and it was worth the wait! What a great main couple! I love the friends-to-lovers trope and this has fake-relationship too! If you like the earlier Sarah Adams, Jenny Proctor, Melanie Jacobsen, or Emma St. Clair, this is right up your alley. Mild language, closed-door.

I wanted to love this book.

I enjoyed the first one thoroughly. This one was cute. I like the story. But the language severely detracted from the story. The first one had a few curse words and that didn't bother me too badly. This one however had a lot more and seems so unnecessary. And this also used the word "frick" a lot. It was extremely distracting and still sent your mind to the curse word. This is not what I expected from clean fiction. This had fun moments that I found very cute. But I miss the wit from the first one. The narrators were excellent which added to the story. Overall it was okay but a bit disappointing.
