About this listen

Two nights with her ruined me for all other women, but I never got the chance to make her mine.

I’m the pinnacle of control. I protect the net, my team, and my daughter.
It’s my final season and I can’t afford any distractions.
Except our new assistant coach just walked in.
And I would know her face anywhere.
She’s the one I dream about.

That weekend, I was just a man—not the legend, the dad, the mentor.
I didn’t care that I was a decade older.
For the first time in my life, I was ready to risk everything if it meant having her.
Until I woke up to an empty bed and no note.
Three years of wishing I knew how to find her, now she’s my new boss.

I can be patient.
But for her—I want to break all the rules.

5 Stars! Emotional & swoon-worthy!

f You Love Me by Helena Hunting is an emotional, swoon-worthy hockey romance that stole my heart! This slow-burn, forbidden love story pairs Roman, the utterly charming and devoted single-father NHL goalie, with Lexi, the trailblazing first female assistant coach in the league. Their chemistry is electric, and the witty banter between makes their connection impossible to resist. Hunting masterfully builds the tension, blending steamy moments with deeply emotional layers as Roman and Lexi navigate the challenges of their forbidden relationship.

Roman’s dedication to his daughter and his vulnerability make him a hero to root for, while Lexi’s strength and determination as she breaks barriers in a male-dominated field are inspiring. The emotional depth of their journey—tackling themes of love, loss, and second chances—adds a richness to their story that will keep you hooked. Hunting’s storytelling is impeccable, weaving together passion, humor, and heart in a way that feels authentic and unforgettable. I listened to the audiobook and it was fantastic. Narrated in duet by Stephen Dexter and Stella Bloom, who both delivered exceptional performances. If You Love Me by Helena Hunting gets five smooches from me!

Second Chance Romance

This was the best yet in the Toronto Terrors universe. Roman is a dream and the strength of Lexi in pursuing her dream of coaching. Both narrators brought depth to the main characters and secondary ones as well. This is a very smexy read. Thank you Helena Hunting and can’t wait till the next book in the series.

Favorite of the Series

I finished Roman and Lexi’s story in the wee early morning hours. I am in love with this couple and this friend group! It is my favorite of the series and one of my 2025 favorite books.

Roman is a swoon worthy hockey player and single Dad His love language is taking care of people he loves. He finally meets the woman of his dreams and she runs away. Years later they meet again and she is his new boss.

Lexi is the first female assistant coach in the professional hockey league. Outwardly she is confident and strong. Under the layers she is a busy single parent trying to keep her nose above water. It’s a sweet and spicy second chance love story with plenty of angst.

The supporting characters of the hockey teammates and the Bada$$ Babe Brigade are all a found family. Oh, my heart!!

You will love this story if you like sports romance, love sweet alphas and strong confident women, family connections, single parents, age gap and love in the workplace.

Sucker for a Goalie!

HOW DOES HELENA JUST KEEP MAKING THE SERIES BETTER & BETTER?!?! This is seriously one of my favorite hockey romance series of all time, with Roman & Lexi as the latest installment & I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

This audio…LAWD HAVE MERCY! Stephen Dexter & Stella Bloom are stellar & absolutely DELICIOUS! They did an impeccable job bringing Roman & Lexi to life with all the hurt, anger, PINING, chemistry, & absolute love they had! It made the reading experience (the book is incredible) even better & 10000% recommend doing this audio as well!

Daddy Roman, in all sense of the word “daddy”, COULD GET IT! This MAN!!!! Gah, the way he takes care of his people, how he would sacrifice just about anything to be with Lexi, how he loved & cared for not only her, but her sisters too? Any scene where he was “dad”/parenting, I SWOONED! Love a mentally healthy man!

And Lexi?! The woman had the world on her shoulders but handled it with so much grace, even when she didn’t think she could. From making history in the hockey world to raising her sisters, she was a complete badass & also so relatable!

Their chemistry is INSANE & the pull they have to one another even after three years is something they cannot fight! They melted my kindle & AirPods & I THANKED them for it 🔥🤣

Adored, loved, can’t stop thinking about them!!

I Loved Him, Her, Them

I loved this story. Getting to know Roman as a secondary character in other books, I just knew his own love story would be something special. And it certainly was. Engaging, courageous and sexy, readers will fall even more in love with hockeys number one goalie dad.

I love Roman

I think I was most excited about this book coming out because it was about Roman he is the single dad who's so responsible and we've seen him and all these other books being the level-headed guy and I just couldn't wait for him to get his Happy Ever After and it was exactly that it was perfect. This book had all kinds of things I love The woman that he fell for Roman surprise me he's a dirty talker That I wasn't ready for but loved all the same I love the woman like I said that he fell for because she's independent the first woman assistant coach in the league. it really didn't surprise me that he fell for somebody who is someone who would take so much responsibility this was a great story I loved it it flowed well and I would definitely recommend.

The story trumped my reluctance re the age-gap trope

I loved the camaraderie all the Toronto Terror characters share. Although this 5th stand-alone in this ongoing hockey romance series could be read 1st, I highly recommend reading this series in book release order to get the full benefit of the camaraderie.

Author Helena Hunting's writing style is one that I always enjoy. Fir ne, it's not the Steamy sex scenes that appeal to me the most. it's the common human relationship challenges, both the highs and the lows that I look forward to discovering and experiencing along with this interesting cast of characters.

Our heroine reminded me of a friend that I know IRL who had to adopt a relative and in a sense also lost her mother. Our hero had a wonderful fix it mentality that I quite enjoyed. I always enjoy a male parent who really emv
braces parenthood and turns out to bes
naturally good at parenting.

One of my favorite scenes actually invilved the heroine's dad m. He admits to not being a great dad and asked his daughter to forgive j
him and give him grace as he tried to begin being more dedicated to giving her his undivided attention instead of always being distracted and simply checking her off of his To Do List orienting her money as his love language dictated.

The epilogue gave us a nice glimpse into this blended family's domestic bliss. I'm looking forward to discovering whoever will be the next Tkribti Terror couple when book 6 is released.

The audiobook voices actors weren't great. I find myself disliking Stella Bloom more and more to my chagrin. She has a tenor thar irritates my ears and I intensely dislike her male voices. I almost wouldn't have minded if the male narrator did this book solo except I wasn't a fan of his female voices either. These 2 voice actors would be better tolerated in the duet style rather than dual style narration in my opinion. I wouldn't rush to listen to another audiobook narrated by either of them quite honestly. They made more reading experience more challenging because I didn't like their voice acting styles on the whole.

Final thoughts: this book shouldn't be missed just because one may dislike the audiobook narrators. I recommend it it in e-book format if you listen to a sample and feel iffy about the narrators.
