Publisher's summary

From nationally bestselling author K.L. Armstrong comes a new heartstopping, propulsive, race-against-the-clock thriller.

How far will you go to protect the only family you have?

When Amy Gibson's mother is brutally murdered by her boyfriend, Amy's world is completely undone. Overcome with grief and heartache, she withdraws from everything around her—college, her friends, her entire life. Until her estranged half-brother, Oliver, saves her, pulling her back into her life and giving her family. Giving her a home.

Eight years later, she's picked herself up and has worked hard to move forward. She’s the host of a popular true crime podcast that focuses on crimes against women committed by their partners and is finding purpose and healing through helping women in ways she couldn't help her mother.

And then Oliver is accused of the unthinkable—something that is so unlike him. Something that horrifies Amy. But desperate to save the only family she has, she sets out to prove her brother's innocence.

But as the days pass and more information about Oliver and his past slowly comes to light, Amy begins realizing that nothing is ever as it seems—especially when it comes to family.

Critic reviews

"A shocking cat-and-mouse chase for truth in a family where secrets run deep, Known to the Victim is a devious thriller that asks the unsettling question: How well do you know the people you love?”—Roz Nay, bestselling author of The Hunted

Another Home Run for Armstrong!

How does this not have more listeners!? I am a big Kelley Armstrong fan so listened to this as I do all of her books. This one was different for her though and did NOT disappoint! The characters were well developed and likeable and the story itself was great! Even if you do "see it coming" it doesn't take away from the story at all! It, in fact, makes it even better. I was very pleasantly surprised by his much I enjoyed this book and have already recommended it to friends. It was a quick listen and I hated when I had to pause it!
The performance was great and the narrator did an incredible job! She brought the characters and story to life beautifully.

Another Armstrong Smash

Love all of her books. The stories are unique but I do find the main characters from her detective oriented books are all starting to seem similar in voice and personality (Mallory, Casey, Nadia).

awful

This is hands down, the worst book I've listened to all year. The plot is a hot mess, it makes no sense, and beggars belief. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even if it was free.
