Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times bestselling author Kelley Armstrong delivers a fun romantic comedy about a woman writing under a male pseudonym and the man she hires to play the role in public.

Daphne McFadden already knows that as a female author, the cards are stacked against her. Now she knows just how much. Because her sudden whim to pose as an “outdoorsy hunk of masculinity” male author for her new book just resulted in the unthinkable: a bidding war, a huge book deal, and the kind of fame every author dreams of. Now she’s in big trouble. Because she needs to convince the world that Zane Remington actually exists...but how?

By hiring an actor, of course.

Only Chris Stanton is not an actor—not officially. He’s used to balancing the books, not pretending he wrote one. Still, he’s mostly certain he can pose as some overly macho bro-author. But when the media descend on Daphne’s gorgeous remote home in the Yukon, it’s not enough for Chris to just be the face of Zane Remington—he’ll have to become him. All while hilariously balancing the terrifying dangers of the wilderness, a massive femme fandom, and a serious crush on Daphne. But as the hype circus gets more out of control, it’s just a matter of time before someone discovers their little write lie....

loved it but..

I don't know if this was tongue in cheek and on purpose but after the first few pages I thought this was a rif on the old TV show Remington Steel. I was a little disappointed when the actual name of Remington was used. With that said I have read most if not all of Kelley Armstrong's books and I will continue to ore order them as soon as I'm able.

So cute!

Loved it! Wasn't expecting a romcom from Kelley Armstrong but as usual it was amazing.

Best Accompanied by Taylor Swift's The Man

Oh how I loved this book!!

From the start, I loved Daphne and her gumption to get her book published. I was singing Taylor Swift's The Man the whole time. Then enters Chris. 😮‍💨 I couldn't gobble up their relationship fast enough. The chemistry, the banter, the swooning! I was giggling and kicking my feet the whole time. Not to mention that the narrator's for the audiobook were perfection!

I've been in a bit of a reading slump as of late, but Finding Mr. Write brought me back to life. I had such an enjoyable time with this one, my only regret was not reading it sooner! This was my first Kelley Armstrong book and I'm already looking forward to reading more of her work.

Great book!!

I thought the story was great it was light hearted, sweet, romantic, the end was perfect. Daphne & Chris were opposites but they came together perfectly 🥰

Great book

I loved these characters and the setting but also the humor in it. I’ve ready every book that Armstrong has written minus the thrillers (I get nightmares from real world scary people). Just like everything else she’s written it takes you into their world. I can’t wait to read the short story that accompanied the pre-order.

Fresh Story!

I loved this book! The story was something new and fresh for me. I loved the idea and the banter and surprisingly enough I loved all the characters!

We got forced proximity, fake relationship, he falls first, slow burn, and hidden identity. All tropes I love in a story.

I am absolutely obsessed with the setting of this book being in the Yukon. The author set a beautiful picture. I would love more stories set in locales like this one.

Dragged on

I was so disappointed since I loved Ms. Armstrong’s other books. This was so dull and it seemed like it was never going to end.
