About this listen

A companion (alternate POV) novel to the USA Today best-selling book Leo.

Does everyone deserve a second chance? Even someone who lies and deceives to get it? Do we all have a second chance coming? Even if we play a part in our own destruction? How hard would you fight to have a second chance at love? A second chance at life? Another chance to tell your own story? Every love story has two sides. Evie told hers. This time it's Leo's chance.

This is a POV novel of Leo (Leo should be listened to first).

New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this audiobook is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

Gritty, deep and makes your heart beat.

What did you like best about this story?

That Leo was so afraid of showing who he really was for fear of judgement and she loved him anyway.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes for sure!

Practically the same book...

The same story as Leo, the only differences were it was from Leo's point of view and had a few additional scenes.. There wasn't enough new material to justify a second 7+ hour book in my opinion.
Great narration though!

One of my favorites!

Tears! It never fails. This Leo’s Chance always makes me cry. I’ve read it multiple times and it always gets me more emotions. Absolutely one of my favorite books.

This is my first time listening to the audio book. Joe Arden did a phenomenal job! He brought Leo to life in a spectacular way.

2nd version

I listened to both Leo and Leo’s second chance. I like reading both sides of the story. I prefer Leo version but both are pretty good.

I should have listened to other reviewers

Leo (book 1) and Leo’s Chance should have been combined to 1 book. I loved the first book and this one is the same story, just told from Leo’s view. Much of the writing is identical and it left so much more to be desired. Definitely some missed opportunities to dig into Leo’s life further. Love the story line but wish it gave a little more.

Love Leo's POV

Leo's POV adds another dimension to Leo's story, from Evie's POV. What this man endured as a teen is inexplicable. How he survived is nothing short of amazing. I credit Leo himself and Dr Fox for his acceptance that he is worth it.

It is sad he was unable to have the father-son relationship that I think they both desired. As for Lauren, "what goes around comes around", and may she rot in hell.

Their story is not without difficulties but when they truly discover each other again their lives become what they always hoped for and dreamed of.

The epilogue was perfect. ❤️❤️

Liked Leo’s perspective but no need for stand alone book

Let me start by saying I enjoyed the story - it was good to hear Leo’s perspective. It did not need to be it’s own book. The original story should have just been told from a dual perspective (I mean was anyone really shocked when it was revealed that Jake was Leo?). Good story but it would have just added to the original. There was too much repetition to the original story for it to be a stand alone.

Insightful and Heartbreaking

Before I begin the review I would like to say if you have not read the first book in the series titled "Leo" then you should before reading this book.

"Leo's Chance" is a great read or listen as it gives great understanding and insight to what happened to Leo prior to returning to Ohio. The insight and understanding into Leo's thoughts continue as the story "Leo" is more or less retold from his point of view.

However, even knowing the story, it was almost like I was listening to a new one since it was his point of view and because it explained his anguish, suffering and joy as he was reunited with Ellie. At times it was heartbreaking hearing him tell his story, yes parts are tear inducing.

The narration was good and helped bring Leo to life and really voiced his anguish well. This book is definitely worth reading or listening to after "Leo".

A perfect POV follow up

This was one of the best character point of view follow ups I have ever listened to. Mia Sheridan is amazing at weaving her stories. I love everything she writes. Great listen I highly recommend listening after you listen/read Leo.
